I know that once I pick a sorority I'm one for life. I'm not trying to pick one based on what people say. I was just wondering why people believe that their sorority is the best. I have done some research on aka'a and Delta's and I think I like both. I guess I did word my question wrong. What I want to know is which one has the best reputation on campus and which one is the most active in the community @ Tuskegee.
Check your PM.

It is obvious when people ask questions like which one is the best sorority...that right there alone shows you are interested for the wrong reasons....GREEKS DO NOT WANT PEOPLE IN THEIR ORGANIZATION WHO ARE ONLY THERE FOR THE POPULARITY AND TO WEAR THE LETTERS :!: :!: :!: If you are serious then you would 1) keep your interest to yourself....you dont go broadcasting it. 2) RESEARCH all the sororities and find out their history and purpose, etc... 3) Going on line to be any Greek is serious cause like somone said once your in your in for life....and if the only reasons you wanna be down is to wear some letters...then you may definitely wanna reconsider.

Well, The Deltas have been suspended from Tuskegee's campus since 1999; however, it's rumored that the suspension will be lifted this year. The only sororities on campus now are the AKAs and the Zetas. I think both are equally active on campus and in the surrounding communities. As someone stated earlier, the best think you can do Freshman year is focus on your work and observe the actions of the sororities once you arrive. I would say that the AKAs usually have the highest GPA of the sororities. As stated earlier, I would definitely urge you not to publicize your interests. It could definitely hurt you in the future.

I plan on getting into my books when I get there. I will not pledge right away if at all. By the best sorority on campus I meant which ones are more active in the community. So right off the back it doesn't mean I'm doing it for the popularity or the letters. That was a wrong assumption on your behalf. I know that sororities are different on every campus and I was just wondering which one does the most work and gets the most support. Just because someone says this is best because blah blah blah, doesn't mean I'll join. So sorry if you misunderstood my question. I know that I should have rephrased it.

Ok As A Greek... Most people claim to pledge for brotherhood/sisterhood and have activites on campus and off. It's really just a group of people together for one common cause. Just because your in the "group" doesn't mean that you will fit in..I've met several SGRho's, Deltas and AKA's that weren't happy with their sororities because their sisters are "fake". Same could be said with some of the Frats. My advice would be is to try to meet these girls first. See if you can get along with them before you make your decision. DON'T pledge AKA because you think your pretty or Delta because you think your down to earth..That's silly By the way..Greek life is what you make it..

If you have to ask someone else what THEY think is the best sorority you don't deserve to be in one!!! POINT BLANK, try doing some research and get your own opinion and idea, and sweetie you don't choose the sorority remember that!

If you read earlier then you would have seen that the question was not phrased right. I wanted to know which sorority was the most active. I have been doing some research, but that doesn't mean that it applies to every campus. Like someone said before you people tend to be fake. They are not serious about there sorority and join for the wrong reason. I just wanted to know which sorority was aiming for their mission and helping out the community. So you need to read before posting your message!
