when you all come out of college and have had some years since you obtained our Bachelor's, will you be content making enough salary that covers your primary and essential yearly expenses (such as your home, car, etc.) as well as even some things in life WITHIN REASON that you might've always desired?? OR...is it important you make MORE than just enough...as in WAY MORE...so that you can pay for and afford to buy all of the above in addition to things you might've wanted in life (or want at that time) that aren't everyday items that perhaps everyone possesses... me, personally...i fall under the first category....i feel like, when i reach the point where i am making enough to pay for everything that NEEDS to be pay for, first and foremost....in addition to being able to afford a few extra things for myself that aren't necessarily necessities....PLUS...i really love, enjoy, and do best at what I do for living at that time...then, everything else'll just be leisure or maybe bonus activitiy/achievements, ya know? but maybe that's just me...

okay, I definitely feel everyone who said they'd prefer making more than enough... the thing is...I don't want it to seem like I'd just be settling in life..... #1...if I have a family...that's different...I want to be able to give my family the best, ya know...so when I say "content," i don't just mean enough for myself and i DEFINITELY don't mean "barely making it," as some of the previous have implied.... it's more than just survival about me...I DO want to be able to live life to the fullest...but my point is, you don't have to have an extreme salary to do that....unless you just want Bentleys, Escalades, $20-million houses, & whatnot, I think my point of view is very reasonable... and like Neo mentioned...I do want to fulfull my utmost potential in life, but money for me doesn't play an important role in that factor...if I become the most successful and prosperous one could be, that's great...if I end up being ridiculously rich, that's great too...but really, doing much for many people and whatnot won't have to do with finances for me...it'll just be something extra that I'd like to do....does that make sense? lol, 'cause half of ya'll (if not most) r makin' it seem like I mind just barely making it in life...that's not what it is...I aspire to excell, but I don't have to be rich to be there...& by just making "enough," that means that I can well-afford everything necessary and everything I want, but I don't have to have EVERYthing... so umm...yeah, anywayz tho...
I can relate... don't get me mistaken, it's not saying that you just want to be scraping by. It's more about how it is used rather then how much is used. $500,000 spent wisely is better than $5 million wasted. Being rich is pointless if you spend it all on luxuries and don't do anything productive, so I agree with you there. I just want to make as big an impact on the world as possible, and the more I have in my arsenal, the better. The things that I want to accomplish, like opening schools and community businesses, call for serious investment, so it is more important for me than for others depending on their goals. Holla!

I would be very happy with #1.my life plan is earn Bachelor's in Music Education, Minor in English Education(done@21) earn Master's in Music Education(done@age22/23) get marriedwork as a band director a few years, (doneby age 26/27) do missionary work for 3 years(done by age 30/31) THEN start a family and continue my career as a band director and Bible educator nothin i plan on doing require's THAT much money. Being a teacher is a good investment in the community because you invest in people, the future of the community. I don't need a fancy house or 3 cars or a closet full of Robert Cavalli and Jones New York. Now my house will be NICE, and my car will be NICE, and my clothes will be NICE, and by the time i have children, I will have saved enough so that my children will have everything they NEED and their REASONABLE wants. But I like simplicity.

Option #1 sounds good to me. As long as I have enough money to where I can live comfortably and not have to live from paycheck to paycheck, I'm straight. I'm not into fancy cars, flashy jewelry, etc., I just want a nice house, a few pets and a strong black man by my side.
