Is it tru that the AKAs discriminate on darksin women and if you pledge you have to pass a brown paper bag test. I am asking because i am darkskin,and i don't know why,but my desire has always been to pledge to become an AKA.If someone could get back to me asap,i would greatly appreciate it.

You are supposed to join for their values and purpose. It sounds like if you do make it, you will be yet another letter wearer... my grandmother was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha and she was dark brown... thats one of thoes nasty sterotypes... about AKA's
all greek letter orgs have some kind of negative said about them
