Wow, errr...wow. Needless to say all HBCU's have their cronies, and a ton of them...but they aren't the few that graduate. And I don't think this is a 'black only' problem any ways. Levels of maturity are what changed. Dude that still acts like he's hard and the sh!t from Brooklyn hasn't really matured. Physically, people may be maturing faster. Mentally? ****. Us young adults now mature at a sickly slow pace compared to even 10 years ago. Let me be the first to admit I am just now maturing. I could care less about frontin, but not 6 months ago. Thunder

So ummm...what's ya point in saying all of this? If i ignore the obvious facts that my fellow HBCU family members have already made and just concentrate on your intent on posting this highly racial charged topic...i must say u don't have one. Bassically u want to get us all fired up huh? If this is your way to invoke change in what you supposidly have observed (like we a case study or sum shyt) then you went about it all wrong. So i'm gonna have to kindly ask you to go back and try it again. Push ya "edit" button and i'm gonna walk you through this okay? Here goes: When you would like to use your own observations to support your thesis that we are all "ignorant" you must use observations that have some sort of merit. A "healthy amount of time" could have just been 1hour. (Hell, i'd feel that an hr chillin with tha **** would be a healthy amount of time, but that's juss me). When using a word such as "ignorant" you must clearly define what the group you are reffering to is ignorant of. Are we ignorant as in: do we lack education/knowledge or are we unaware/uninformed? Mr. Larry you must decide. So circle one then use it in ya post k? U must also define "that which is baseless"....baseless according to who? perhaps you should attend an HBCU and receive "training" in a Journalism course...a lot of this coulda been avoided if you would have been taught properly how to make assertions  When you mention a campaign such as "vote or die" please do a little research on the demographics in which that campaign targeted. Did MTV air a special on it or did BET? Did Tommy Hilfiger support the campagin by designing shirts for the campaign? Did the campaign say specifically: "BLACK PEOPlE vote or die"?....just asking. O wait, did you take the time to look at the statistics at the conclusion of the election? Kindly tell us how many African American students voted in comparison to prior years. Are you judging are effectiveness on the fact that Kerry is not in office? Are you saying that all black students think alike? Please provide me with the statistic saying that 100% of HBCU voters voted for Kerry. (my contact information is at the bottom of the post) Since you are judging ALL HBCUs on Trick Daddy's lyrics...shall we judge PWIs on that of Marilyn Manson? Again with demographics...how many whtie kids are banging Hip Hop joints loud? Perhaps you should go holla at ****. How many different homecomings did you analyze? Can you provide me with a track list of the songs each artist performed at the various homecoming concerts? What about the gospel concerts? Can you please provide me with a full list of events of each HBCUs campus. Thank You.

nah i'm talking about larry. the elections are over...what are you talking about? what does that have to do with anything? If u thought i was speaking to you then i'm assuming you are in support of larry. Perhaps you should read my post carefully and notice that i quoted many things that larry said. Didn't know you also posted on this topic

It's about time somebody sees the truth. I'm glad I found this post. But I have a theory. It's not that everybody ends up miseducated and ignorant from going to an HBCU, it's that only ignorant and miseducatef future Uncle Toms go in the first place. I'm not racist either (I'm black)

Thanks, but the only reason that I'm going is because I'm on a scholarship and I'm going to open everybody's eyes. I'll show you specific examples of the ignorance and racism that abounds within the black community from the inside. I will be an agent of change. One who can objectively see the HBCU issue for what it is.

I've acted this way my whole life and nothing ever happened. I grew up in compton and go to school in compton. I think I'll be alright.

I must say, you have got to be one of the most ignorant people I have heard from on this site. If you hate HBCUs why come to HBCUconnect. Hello :???: I have yet to hear you say one positive thing on this site, and I'm just trying to figure out who hurt your feelings or put the stick up your ****? Let it go!!!
