Do Blacks On T.V Really Reflect Blacks???

I've heard it time and time again that people are ashamed of the African-American people that are on T.V, especially reality television. People have complained about some of the people's personality's on College Hill, Real World, American Idol(LeRoy Wells), Rap Music videos as well as talk shows(Muary)... I understand, that people want to see people they could relate to but why are people worried abut what WHITE see on television?? White people could care less about seeing other white people making a fool of themselves on t.v because they know that person does not reflect them as an individual. Are Blacks looking for a SAVIOR for the black community to show **** that we could be civilized just like them?? Does the cast on College Hill really reflect you as an African American attending an HBCU?? Do the Baby Mommas that dont know who their Babby Daddy's are that frequent Maurys talk show..Reflect you as a young African American WOMAN?? If you think so..I think you have some problems You and your persoanlit and behavior are the onl things that will reflect what kind of person you are..

Why is it that the black people on Maury end up representing us as a whole, but the white people on Jerry Springer don't represent them as a whole? Is it because of all the positive rolls white people play to overshadow the negative?

Counter: Yes the blacks on TV really reflect black people. . . Don't forget about the shows that portray positive black people like CSI: NY (Hunter Hill); Girlfriends (Tracey Ellis Ross); One-On-One (Kyla Pratt, and Flex); Sportscenter (Stuart Scott, Fred Hickman); B Smith with Style; even Static Shock. Just like every other ethnic group/race. . .we have good and bad. It's just that more black people tend to watch the bad on TV. In that case, your lack of options is your fault as viewers; not the networks.
on CSI: NY you mean Hill Harper (sorry but he's one of my favorite actors) 8)
