"The Friend Rule" Posted on 03-14-2005

How many females truely believe in "The Friend Rule"? Y'all kno, the one where if ya best friend goes with somebody, u can't go with them, because ya friend might still have feelings for that person. Well, I wanna kno this, because this rule is a bigg issue that causes plenty of arguements, when in reality it was set to keep down arguments. I have a friend that isn't talking to her best friend anymore, becuz the girl was messing around with her (my friend) exboyfriend. The point is that the best friend knew that the girl still like the boy, but when he started messing with her, she sat back and let it happen, make it so bad, the best friend has a boyfriend. Soooo, wut do y'all think?!?!?!

I believe in the friend rule, but it all depends on certain things though. Like if they had that little kid relationship way back when they were 12, just holdin hands and whatever..and then like 6 years later you meet him and he's lookin all good and you guys wanna talk, then why not? But if it was something that happened recently and she had really strong feelings for him, and he broke up with her, then I dont think you should go there...I dunno

I definately believe in the friend rule. If I knew my friend went out with someone and even if they broke up I would not go out with their ex just because I would not feel right. It is like I was liking the person even when they were together. :-( I just would not feel to nice with myself if I did that. I can't say I wouldn't want to but I definately would not feel to good about.

The friend rule is oh so needed....there's so many reasons for it. For example...What if ol dude did you wrong, and now he dating your home girl...U gotta see that **** around and be reminded of what he did to you over and over again, while tryin to maintain a friendship with ur girl. I feel that dating someone a previous friend (close friend) has dated is disrespectful. Too many guys out there to be keeping it all close like that...shop around lol.

hmmm...In my opinion nothing should come between friends 8-) NOT EVEN a guy...I don't really agree with the friend rule because of this. As always there is ONE EXCEPTION :  If me or my friend had been dating the guy in question for longer than 5m. In this case..feelings were developed and these feelings WILL ALWAYS be there...i couldn't imagine dating a guy that I had feelings for, for longer than 5m then hearing about him from my home girl...NO WAY :???: other than that..if she want him..she can have him guys can be replaced with the quickness...im pretty sure they feel the same way about us when they have to choose between their homeboyz and a female 8) (my brother taught me that one)
