Man, honestly... We are surviving thanks to the fact that people want to visit the site (and sponsors like infiniti wanting to pay to be in front of black folks)
We're just like the underdog right now, but my philosophy is : Let the audience dictate the content of the website, and let our little bit of talent make it better than the other sites for the niche that we serve...
by the way, don't be mad if infiniti ads start appearing in the subsilver template (evil grin) :lol:
Just so people know another thing... Most major websites that serve web ads get paid based on the number of ad views we serve... So for example, a typical site might get $3.00 for every 1000 pages viewed on the website... So it's kind of hard to juggle. I'm still trying to figure out how to serve the infiniti ads without irritating people because of the way it pops up on the mouse over it...
As always, let us know what you want to see on hbcuconnect.com so we can put it in the plans... The "Contact Us" page is the best way to do it...

Actually yea, for the longest time my family did not understand what I was doing with the website and the fact that it could be a major business and they did not want me to quit my job, maybe because I had a really good salary at a good company, but my heart was here and with building this website community.
When I quit, a funny thing happened... They all quit their jobs and came to work for me. When I get the chat room up, you'll be able to meet everybody because I'll have a channel in there with a webcam of what's poppin' off in the office.
So yea, all the Moss cats are my peoples. Everybody else is just like fam anyways. I want to hire a couple of interns and new hires later this year also that can join us...
