Keys to a good message board 1. Alot of members (we got that) 2. Good Smilies (got that) 3. FREEDOM OF SPEECH (We losin that.... people deletin posts and topics left and right) Anybody who was here in the summer of 03 can tell you that the board was great because people didnt give a fukk what they said. They didnt have to worry about thier topics getting deleted. Now its like people dont want drama on the board. They want everything to be all lovey dovey. When drama does come up what happens? The topic is gone in 60 seconds

And you can't delete a post just because it was about you. I don't think it's ethical.

Its certain people that I've talked to that dont necessarily feel that way...and no diss to them...But I agree Megan

EXACTLY. If somebody come at you u better fire back. I mean dont be a punk and delete the topic cuz please believe I will make a topic about u deletin the topic......

Yea I feel u Admin. We gotta get HBCU back to what it was. I remember the first time I got on here I was lookin for as much info on A&T as possible. And I got all that I needed to make my decision.

I agree but more than anything I think that an Admin has to have some serious computer savvy because I've noticed that problems do arise and sometimes it takes forever for them to be fixed until somebody comes along or suggest something that works. In other words somebody who knows what phpbb means, what it is, and how it differes from vbulletin (if you don't know what any of that is then u need not apply)... ...because more than anything their job is to not only check people's post but also improve the the forum as a whole. Somebody who doesn't know what they are can real F! things up on here. Somebody who does know what they are doing can improve this forum dramatically and make the cafe experience that much better for everybody. This pointless drama is ridiculous, I feel that the admin should never be wrapped up in all of this mess unless he's/she's squashing it. If someone who is supposed the facilitator of everything can't get it together how is the site as a whole supposed to function. It affects the other admins as well as take away from the experience for everybody. Word is bond... Thats just my .98 cents... :smt024

I would add one thing to the list: 4. Information Resource so cats can search on a topic and get the real deal on it... for example, if a kid wants to goto Howard they can search the boards and get info on what students think about Howard etc...

Welp, he knew which school to use as an example...that's for sure 8-)
