I hate when girls wear real BLACK lip liner and they are lightskinned, I mean lip liner is ok but learn to BLEND the colors.

Anyhow...these are Jamila's MAJOR make-up NO-NOs, and some TIPS along the way...
1) Ladies...when wearing foundation...make sure it is your right skin tone. There is nothing worse than seeing a female wearing a foundation 2x lighter than her regualr tone, and seeing it on the sides of her face...the difference in color. If you have a hard time trying to find the right foundation...I suggest going to your local Dillard's or Macy's and going to the Fashion Fair boutique stand thingy inside, and let them tell you what color is best for you. They will even give you an entire makeover with a purchase of one of their products. The color I use from them is Topaz Glo. Its a medium brown color. The foundation is EXTREMELY light, and it doesnt feel caky and rub off easily. I dont wear foundation every day just cause I have naturally clear skin...but sometimes I wear it cause it gives my face a glow that it doesnt normally have which I like. Fashion Fair is good makeup. Not extrmely costly, but not cheap either. It wont cost you as much as MAC, but it will be more than Cover Girl...Like my foundation cost 21.50...but if you want quality makeup, you will spend alil bit more money.
2) As the other ladies have said in this thread...BLENDING is a key essential to makeup wearing...whether its foundation, eyeshadow, or lipstick...its ESSENTIAL. Im very flirty with eye shadows, and like to stand out, so I will use my dark greens, blues, rose colors, bronzes, etc...Its important to make sure when you use a color like a green you know how to blend it well enough so that you dont walk out the house looking like a damn clown. When I tend to use brighter shadows. I will use a dark and lite of that same color, and as Im blending in the middle I will use my small shadow brush and take some medium bronze shadow to tone down the color so it isnt so out there...it gives it the look you wanted with the bright color, but it helps make the color subtle at the same time.
3) As far as lipstick is concerned blending liners is key. I tend to wear either a bronze lipstick or lip gloss...I always line my lips with a very dark brown liner first, then a medium brown liner on top of that. With that I blend, but not completely..I blend so that my lipstick/lipgloss is toned down some, and so that my liner doesnt look so just...blah...i cant think of a word to put it ( but for example...how J.Lo wore her lipstick in the Get Right video when she was being one of her lil characters in the dressing room and she had the liner on her lips, but not blended with the lipstick...that aint how u want it ). Sometime when using a bronze gloss, I sometimes will put a dab or 2 of a rosy colored lip gloss and blend it to give it more color when I wanna be a lil different.
lol...With these few steps your makeup should look great and most importantly flawless. But like anything in life too much of anything isnt good, so use the makeup in moderation...and if you have nice skin, dont wear it everyday, cause AU NATURAL is even better.
