I just wanted to know why you guys are going to HBCU's. I think that
other colleges are great but college is about more than getting a degree, it's about getting a complete education. A complete education consist of learning about the world, why your are hear, what are going to do in life and most importantly it's about learning about yourself. Now other colleges can fulfill all of those but an HBCU is obviously the best to learn about yourself and your people. I personally got accepted into some of the top colleges in the nation but I would turn down Harvard to go to an HBCU!
I CHOSE A BLACK COLLEGE BECAUSE I WANTED TO BE SOMEWHERE I CAN GET A GOOD EDUCATION AND LEARN MORE ABOUT MY HERITAGE SOMETHING I CAN NOT GET FROM A WHITE COLLEGE. PLUS ALL OF MY FAMILY THAT HAS WENT TO COLLEGE GRADUATED FROM A HBCU.

I KNOW BECAUSE IT IS LIKE IF I GO TO A BLACK SCHOOL, I WILL BE GETTING THE ATTENTION I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED BEFORE.
I want to go to an HBCU to acheive new goals in my education, to walk in the footsteps of great black leaders and to learn in a diverse environment. You can get all these things at other schools but you should give much respect to the schools that thought first how they could serve others and enrich lives not based on skincolort but potential.
I feel that I will be more comfortable if I got to a black college. Also cuz it be crackin...lol. But on da real i think a black college has more to offer me!
Hmm, the reason I want to go to a hbcu is cuz I wanna be around my peoples, I wanna get a good quality education, and I appreciate and want to support the hbcus.8)
