LOOKS LIKE I WON'T BE GOING TO COLLEGE....

Let me start from the beginning In mid-January, a DAVE ROBINSON from JSU financial office called me telling me that i would be awarded a FULL SCHOLARSHIP to JSU because of my test scores. and GPA, and invited me to Honors Day and gave me basketball game tickets. In Mid-February, i get invited to apply to Honors College. In Mid-March, i get a letter saying that they cannot determine my scholarship eligibility because they don't have my transcript Today, I was told that i will not receive a scholarship because you need a 3.0GPA, not on your cumulative GPA(which i have a 3.6), nor your unweighted GPA(which i have a 3.012), but your "CORE CUMULATIVE"(which i had never heard of, and which i have a 2.49), This was not stated in the scholarship application, nor on the school application, nor in the Honors College application, when i talked to the head of admissions she didn't tell me this, nor did Dave Robinson, nor did head of finances when i talked to her the first time. How they give me a scholarship then take it away? Da hell am i supposed to pay for college now? I thought i had a full ride here, and so i only applied for a few other scholarships. I have $2000 to pay for college. 2000$ is BOOKS. i think i'ma start pushing sacks

Dont give up. if you have gotten accepted to other colleges then see what they can offer you. Loans aren't all that bad.(just the fact you have to pay em back :x )You are a really smart girl why would you let something like this stop you from going to college. yea it really is a mess but remember what doesnt **** you makes you stronger. Keep your head up and keep praying, [-o< I'm sure GOD has something in store for you

Damn girl, you've been going through more than a little trying to get into school. I thought you'd been accepted to other schools though and if your scores and things are as high as you say, then SOMEONE other than JSU should offer you some money. Just man up and do what you've gotta do. Yeah, its a jacked up situation, but hey, ****happens. Either you can wallow in that ****or you can step over it and keep on truckin. I know you don't believe that everyone on this site has a full ride to school and I know you've seen the various threads about how we're paying for school. It all comes down to doing what you've gotta do.

girl I went through some of the same mess last year that you are going through now...but at least u still have enough time left to explore other options...pray about it and Megan is right, things happen for a reason...if u still want to go there, take out loans and look for more money but only if you REALLY want to go there...dont settle if a school is not giving you money, or else you won't be happy (take it from someone who knows!)

Push the issue...if it wasn't in writing and they never mentioned they can't legally use that against you. Pray...everything happens for a reason. Just don't allow this to discourage you or stress you out.
