I have a friend that recently went to a XYZ orgazational fair and accidenlty touched the XYZ blanket. Also while at the fair she was wearing the colors of the oraganization.... was she wrong ?
When I was in college I was 1st runner up to Miss A Phi A 2 years in a row (couldn't win for nothing) lol
But each time I competed in the pageant I wore Black and Gold (in the evening wear )and some of the fellas told me that I scored high for doing that.
There were other contestants who felt I was being disrespectful to wear their colors but I listened to the guy who sponsored me and asked me to compete.
However I am convince that after being 1st runner up 2 years straight I lost because I wore their colors. I believe that within the judges some saw it as cool, some saw it as disrespect.
It's an individual thing and not all Greeks will see it the same way.

Girl, last year one of my friends who was newly greek got **** cuz some girl came up to their table during the organizational fair in the ballroom. She was saying the girl was stupid and blah blah blah, but I ask her if you don't want people to come to the table WHY IN THE HELL DO YOU SET UP?? As far as colors are concerned, was she supposed to change before she went to the fair? Everybody is wearing pink, green, blue and red these days so why would someone even trip over that?
I agree with that. The idea when we have Organizations day is to set up and display things of your org and i dont mind touching things as long as you're careful of course.

That's messed up, losing cause you wore the organization's colors.
I just asked my friend this question who recently just crossed her sorority. She said that it would not bother her at all. She doesn't think it's necessary to not wear the clothes you've purchased simply because it's the same as a greek organizations. She thinks it may be a little inappropriate to do so if your showing up to an informational in the colors. But she believes in situations such as a fair where people are learning about the organizations, there is no reason to not wear what you want or touch the items that are there purposely for those to look at.
