Younger guys.... Posted on 05-06-2005
Wes

Ladies, would you date someone younger than you? Why or why not? And PLEASE, don't say "because younger guys are immature", because just because he is younger doesn't automatically mean he's immature.

Women just like older men for some reason. They use the immature thing as an excuse. Some may have actually experienced it tho, so I guess they are somewhat justified. Personally, I know and have seen younger girls and how immature they are which actually makes me want a females who is older than me, but at the same time I'll talk to a 16-17 year old. I don't know why. But all in all it's negatives and positives equally with both older and younger females. With males, I think their just as many older immature males as is young. It's just that younger dudes make it a lot more obvious. Speakin from a males point of view about females I don't have a age preference but I can tell you that I will go no lower than 16. Anything lower than that is where the real immaturity is.

I'm 20 and I "talked" to a 17 year old who quickly after we first met turned 18. It was ok but I felt like I could control him solely because of his age and I hate that feeling. But this guy and I still talk and we care about each other a lot but I don't think we do well in a relationship now. He still has some growing up to do. But who knows what holds for the future.

I talked to a few younger guys...I wouldn't rule it out, as long as they're mature...but they can't be 2 years younger than me, only 1. Cause then, if they're 2 years younger, then u might as well be dating my 17 year old sister :???:

i started talking to someone younger than me this quarter,he was like 3 years younger than me actually. sometimes it was cool, cause he was a sweetheart, but other times he just did certain things that reminded me that he was younger, and it bothered the hell out of me. im not saying there is anything wrong with dating younger men, but from this experience i can say that for me, if he is younger, he has got to have a old soul, cause that was a headache

I don't discriminate. If there is a connection there, we click, and i feel like his personality meshes well with mine...i just might give it a shot. Besides, ain't nothin wrong with a fresh young tenderonie. Might as well start whippin em into shape early. Like the scripture says "raise up a child in the way which he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it" . Ok...i'm song wrong for bringin the Bible into this. Imma stop now. I only really see a problem coming in if he is significantly younger. We may not be able to relate on certain social issues, seeing how i'm in college, and he might be in highschool. I'm gonna be talking about greek life, professors, and future career options and he'll be focusing on SATs, prom, and whateva else peeps worry about in highschool (cuz i really don't remember ).

I talked to a dude a year and a half younger than me, and in just " talking " the maturity differences were very CLEAR...I was just on another level than him, and he irritated me more and more....I will always PREFER to date an older guy, but I wont say I will never date a yoounger guy. Its highly unlikely, especially after the experience I had, but I wont say never cause I may meet someone a year younger than me who is on my level or maybe higher depending on where his head at you know. But thats just my thoughts on it.

I have never really been into guys my age let alone younger guys. Now that I'm a lil older though I do find myself checkin out 16 and 17 year olds, wonderin if I should charter new waters. It just seems like it would be awkward for me.

 funny....On a serious note tho, being older, you can really influence who your with especially when they are younger. The younger you are the more you open minded you are, and when influence comes in the form of a older woman who's more experienced some dudes would be easily shaped. Same with women. Hmmmm. I just said somethin that made me think.
