treating people differently based on the way they look... i thought of this topic while i was in the 32 degree cooler today at walmart... aight, so i'm in the back fridge stocking up the milk, when up comes this really cute blonde...5' 1"....college chick...possibly USC... there were some milks that she was unable to reach because they were slid so far back and her arms were too short (how cute! i love tiny chicks!)....since she saw me back there, she asked "excuse me sweety, could you push those half gallon 2 percent milks up so i can get 'em? my little arms are like.. *reaching up like a cute little baby* ...so tiny, dude tee hee hee." so my reponce was "sure! as a matter of fact ma'am, i'm gonna grab you the freshest milk we have back here...here ya go ma'am....this milk isn't due until july 4th! " she thanked me for going out of her way for her, and walked away with a smile... so then like 2 hours later, the milks began to run low again and it got to the point where customers couldn't reach it... all of a sudden, this real TALL chick (about 5'10") saw me in the back freezer and decided to ask me a question... she was all ghetto... "scew me.....yall got anay mo' fat free in da gallon" :???: my reponce: "nope, sorry" :???: "oh...well i guess i kuh come back" :???: my responce: :???: okay, BUT right behind me where she couldn't see there was a whole BUTTLOAD of fat free gallon milks...i just didn't feel like going out of my way for her...i mean i was about to leave in about 10 minutes and my arm was a little tired...i know in my heart had it been that hot white chick, i would have defnately got those milks for her...and then magically found a milk that wasn't due until like august something... so why did i treat her differently? it wasn't because she was ghetto...i live in columbia, this whole city ghetto...not her skin color...nope...i don't hate my own kind...it was simply because i wasn't attracted to HER! ... 2 women, similar problem, different look, different result... the reason why i thought about this post was because i've been both guilty of a **** of looksism...i ain't all that i'm like 5'6" goofy looking...(but proud, dammit!)...have you ever been guilty of or been the **** of looksism? you ever help a beautiful 5' 0" chick out with an essay while leaving the tall 5'7" chick out in the dust because (ahem) "something came up"?? have you ever just been totally ignored when you walked into a place of buisness because of the way you look or is that just me? what yall think and what are some yalls testimonies of looksism? 8-)

I just can't treat people differently like that for some reason. I would get too convicted because I don't like when people treat me that way so if I did I would be even more hypocritical.

you probably shouldve checked yourself on that one,ONLY because you were at work. cause i know that i have done the same thing. (fine a$$ dude walk into my job, and i'll flirt a lil bit, throw in a lil extra conversation, just to make them feel a bit better. let a **** dude come in and i will try not to say to much just for the simple fact that i dont want them to think im really tryin to TALK to him. but then i got a guest complaint and that stopped all that ish  . but we've all done it, and have had it done to us, so its really no big deal unless you or extremly obvious with it

Chivalry is not ****. You should have treated the tall lady just as well as you treated the short lady. That would have been the GENTLEMAN thing to do. I dont know about anyone else, but my brother was taught to open doors and pull out chairs for any lady no matter her color, height, or etc....
That didnt seem very relevant. Yea Im guilty. When I worked in retail, I helped those who LOOKED like they had money, and were actually going to buy something a lot more. If someone looked easy to persuade, I would help them more also. Not to be stereotypical, BUT White people almost always would spend money, Mexicans rarely would (and if they did, it would be on clearance items), and Black people either steal or buy (but 70% of those who buy, end up bringin Sh*t back for a refund or credit)...And thats just being REAL...
tru tru tru...that's what i learned at payless...where you worked at? and can i get your number? :???: 8-) (evy)

Physical attraction to me, is fairly quite limited. Whether you are **** or not, I treat everyone the same based on "looks". Granted if you aren't the hotness, I'm not going to make a pass at you, but that doesn't stop me from talking; or being kind and helpful. Looks only make one head think. And unfortunately, it's the smaller one; and it doesn't require much thinking. Thunder
