I like the laidback type who know how to laugh...Im really into rock and underground rap (and normal stuff too), so if shes already there then its a plus. I, for some reason, really like girls who know how to pull off the baggy pants, tight shirt look. Wild hair and all...its probably from all of the Rock influence. I dont particularly go for people who care too much about how they look, simply because I know they look good and they should too. Life isnt a fashion contest.
Mentally...its all about capacity. She has to have a want for knowledge and wisdom, but she doesnt have to already have it. Conversation is good for me, and if she has a great sense of humor then she's in. Anyone can tell you I like to make people laugh (and i dont have to try really hard...kinda strange) so if shes a stiff then itll be hard to vibe with her. Open people are the easiest, for me, to get along with.

Anyways...Aspirations...well, its funny you mention that because my career field doesnt really do much for the aspirations that I have. Ive ultimately decided that I want to go pre-law (the JAG thing I wrote on the other post), but in my spare time I want to be a well known author. Not for any genre in particular, i want to be known for writing all kinds of books. Someone once told me that I was anointed to be a preacher, which kind of scared me a little bit but some people speak things on you that They see and not what God sees. If that is my way then itll happen whether I want it or not I guess.
Oh, I also want to be a Father and a Husband. I know that sounds like something crazy to aspire to, but one day I want to be a man that, when my family looks up at me, they wont have anything to be ashamed of. They'll see pride in me and I want my kids to grow up with their dad around them to let them know how much they love and care. Have a wife that looks across the room at me and cant think of anyone else shed rather be with...those things Id cherish above anything else...

Hey how are you lol I have a quiKk question for you ... I am really stressed out about not being accepted to the colleges I am interested in attending ... I am also stressed out about not getting enough money next year to go what do you think I should do? I am trying to relaX but I am going to be a senior and I am worried... I got to a private prep school and my GPA is alright but the NeW Sat's are a little bit harder ... I took it in May and I just received my scores and I did average without studying but I think I am going to study on my own this summer or take a course but I dont know yet .. I want to apply to Spelman Howard Hampton Xavier Fisk Tennessee State University of Washington and possibly FAMU or WASU but I dont know about them but I really want to go to Spelman the most ... I am going to write my essay's this summer and I just wanted to know if you had any suggestions ? I know I need to calm down and relax but Early action is soooo soon and there will only be 3 more times I can take the SAT's but I dont want to take it more than 3 times because I dont want to get burnt out but I really want to get a Scholarship but I dunno if I can get a 1800 so I am stucK
WOW youre freaking out enough for the both of us....The pressure really is on your SAT scores, mostly because schools are subjective to scoring and valedictorians of some classes mean little if your school has poor education. Something over a 1000 (doesnt know the new scoring) on a 1600 scale should be sufficient for Most colleges, 1100 an above if you want to be sure and over 1200 for scholarship money.
The FAFSA is very important for paying for college - talk to an advisor about how much you think youll get and how much youre worth (in terms of your grades as how a college would see them). Then Id go crazy looking for contests and other scholarships (www.fastweb.com) to supplement everything.
Make sure you understand tuition and make sure you get a better look of the college campuses before you just go there. If you dont know the area youll be in (maybe for the next 4 years of your life) and you dont like it then itll be hell. Dont just ask people you know...and try to shorten up the college list. Its great to have an idea of where you want to go, but try to focus on a career path - good colleges dont neessarily mean that its good for your degree. School is meant not only to educate but to get you ahead in the job field. Ask people in the profession you want to take up what they did to get where they are now - it may make or break your decisions.
