I am currently living in the DC, area and I do realize that everything is close together. I don't know if you remember but a lil earlier this year, there was a small plane that flew into territory it wasn't sposed to be in ie over the White House. They evacuated the President and treated the plane as if it was a ****attack. The CIA and everyone else knew this aircraft was not supposed to be in this area, and got fighters on it, etc, etc. That was just for a dumb, single engine plane. Why is it that foir a big **** 747, they, at the pentagon, could not detect it.
Brother, I am sure you are more well versed on this subject, but there are way too many variables for me to believe what the US government is telling me.
Granted, but that was after the fact. Of course they evacuate and shut everything down now, but that's only after Sept 11, you feel me? Kinda like a action, reaction thing.
I just put the map up there to say how easy it would be for a ****to do what they did at the Pentagon. People talk about DC like it's always been locked down 24-7, which isn't the case. No one probably remembers, but back on September 11, 1994, a lone pilot stole a small plane from Baltimore and smashed it into the White House, two stories below the Presidential bedroom.
My point is this, before and on the morning of September 11, no one was thinking about **** from the air. No one was thinking about planes being hijacked in the US (that was the type of stuff that happened overseas). Back then if a plan went off course the first thought wouldn't be ****, it would be there's a plane off course, I wonder why? No one was thinking about scrambling jets before the morning of September 11.
As far as Kool's comments on the Pentagon, I think most people have the misconception that the side of the Pentagon was supposed to be like a cartoon collision, like with a hole the shape of a plane, going through each of the 5 Pentagon rings. That's not the case. The plane made a big hole in the first wall (which you can't tell, because portions of it have clearly collasped), and smaller holes in the other two rings. As far as the wings, do you know how flimsy the wings on a plane are? Next time you're flying, check out when the flaps are being adjusted, the wings are like metal twigs, and upon impact, they probably shattered like the rest of the plane. Here's an interesting link related to that:

And as far as the folks that are asking what NORAD was up to, they were doing their job of monitoring the Air Defense Identification Zone, which encircles all of North America. They deal with 7,000 flights a day, so it's not hard to believe they could miss a flight going off course (after the plane hit in NY, is when they figured something was up).
Look, I'm not saying that they government didn't know something was up. I'm saying that they did not purposefully plan Sept 11...
both arguements are good, but .com does bring up a good point about the buildings falling down, being a Chemistry major does serve it's purposes, and he's damn right about how hot it HAS to be to burn down those types of buildings!
^exACTly...
How do you lose communication from airplanes, especially when they're departing from a an east coast city such as Washington D.C.??
Wow....both arguments are interesting... :-k
