Thats a really good idea cuz i am really allergic to certain fruits and i also told the dean that i had airborne allergies so i needed a dorm with a/c and i got one so hopefully this will work in this case as well! Thanks for the tips!! :grin:

I'm really blown about the dorm director cuz i really want to get a refridgerator cuz buying food all year long is really gonna hurt my pockets! So are u gonna be stayin in the same roomd during the fall and spring semesters ATLCHYNADAWL? also does it depend on the RA's cuz the dorm director won't be checkin the rooms every night.
Well right now at PreCollege I'm in Twitchell 323 and I'll be in 324 for the fall. What about u??? About the fridge situation, I know some girls tried to bring fridges for PreCollege and they made their parents take them back. It's really not a big deal not having a fridge, at least to me. We have a kitchen downstairs, so if u really need to refridgerate something you can do it their. In our rooms all we really eat are chips, or cookies, or other snacks. We go to either the Caf (Which ****) or the Student Center to eat but we mainly order in either pizza, or chinese food.

Stealing food??? Umm actually no, this really hasn't been a problem...Everyone's been pretty respectful of other people's stuff thus far.

um well i know i have seen a lot of people coming out of twitchell with halters and short skirts on. anyway if you really want a fridge just get a doctor's note. and bring a lot of food so you won't have to buy as much and the caf does suck. sometimes it be good like yesterday the fried chicken was off the charts. so i guess it just depends on what they have. and most of the time you do order out. that's what i have spent most of my money on. and bring lots of bottled water cause the water here stinks to me.

well ill tell you... the food will more than likely be worse come the actual school year, since theyre accomodating for so many more students, theyll stretch some of their other resources (i.e. watering down the pancake syrup/milk to compensate quantity for quality)- if you can cook.... ill get sum food and we can throw down in my kitchen in the fall(my roomate and i r accepting applications for cooks in return for free laundry
and save your money - if youre lucky enough to have a fridge, go to walmart and invest a good $15 into a water filter/pitcher - i had one in my room last year and it served us so well- erryone was in our room for water lol
for food- if ur a fan of sandwiches, invest in some loaves of bread (88 cents @ walmart) and some deli meat >>this is only if u have a fridge- i dont want no one gettin food poisoning from following my advice lol
