Different chapters have different standards and cultures. Barring a serious criminal background. Some chapters would find you unfit if your parents didn't attend college or if you are on financial aid. While other chapters have paid the membership dues for a finacially challenged candidate or allowed the candidate with a "questionable past" a spot.
Never heard of that...
Me either . . .
I haven't heard of that before either..:???:

Well it does exsist, there are some bougie chapters out there, however I was using that as an extreme example of what could be used to deem a person "unfit".

Of course applications don't ask for that but people can find out who has money and who dosn't, but that was not my point. My point is that there are some chapters of various orgs that are ultra exclusive and some are very inclusive. Consequently what makes a person "unfit" in one situation can be totally different in another. I wouldn't put a specific chapter out there like that. I could be a smartass and answer no to the are you greek question, yes I am a lifetime member of a Black Greek Lettered Organization and have been for 11 years and I've seen it all with regards to intake. Just because you've never heard of something happening dosn't mean that it hasn't.

Word? I always thought that if you were a first generation college-goer and you had a good GPA, it would show initiative and drive.. not just in regards to greek life, but in every endeavor..
