the both of you are confused and your ideals are flawed. you have no business in the military at all none whatsoever and you get no respect from me at all and i'm not even touching the war situation because the ignorance gave me some SERIOUS gas

Just for clarification. You feel like BLacks shouldn't be in the military because you feel like they shouldn't have to because of their status as second class citizens? And what are your thoughts on the war?

Where are you from? like i just want some background information on your situation 2 see where all this came from ...I personally believe more blacks should be in the armed services...its far better...especially the ones who were subject to this second rate citizenship...if you find yourself with no options the military is an excellent way to attain benefits and decent pay...I'm in ROTC tho so i can't tell you fo'real about the enlisted side of life (tho my dad was prior enlisted and i do work with several enlisted guys who give me long talks about military life) but yea after i figure out more about you then i'll try and see if you have a valid reason for not wanting 2 be in the military or if you're just disgruntled and liberal without knowing why :-D

right if you do well you can go 2 college however what about all the black men(people) who aren't doing well what is more honorable welfare or the military i'm sorry but i'd choose the military any day over not being able 2 pay my bills the military is what you make it i'm not saying go in and be like "America is great, we're all equal here everyone is green" cuz that stuff isn't true HOWEVER 20 yr retirement and full benefits is REAL Plus u go by contracts just like any other job so its not really like slavery but i'm not gonna go into detail about this any further because bottom line is you are not explainin anything 2 me if you told me like how stuff is goin down where ur at and exactly what your real problem is with the military then i'll elaborate on my position but right now all i'm hearing is "i'm upset with the bureacracy and the military is under them so F them as well" which is somewhat ignorant when without context (note i did not call you ignorant b/c i don't know where exactly you are getting your information for ur assumption) so yea tell me ur trials and tribulations maybe ur background wit the military and i'll tell you the same

if you aren't doing well whose fault is that? your own fault the military should be the LAST option for Black youth thatz wut i said and black soldiers are not treated and respected like white soldiers are when they are not they can seek action you ask black vets when they got their benefits and recognition there are ships named after black veterans and awards are a large part of the armed services, however black ppl don't exactly have an affinity for the military. ESP. black college graduates, thus ur not goin 2 see alot of black high-ranking officers until that is changed. That is what my scholarship was put into action for, i'm on a HBC NROTC scholarship, which targets black colleges in hopes of recruitin' more black officers you're brainwashed i'm not truly brainwashed...i'd consider it more or less an attitude chang i understand that the military has racism CP, but so does everywhere...like u said we're second rate in america however I'd like 2 be second rate with a good job... i understand ur concern however and i'm not vain...i know not everyone runs thru it like colin powell or wuteva and i'm not sayin i'm super patriotic...but as a military brat of someone prior-enlisted and as someone in ROTC i've seen several different sides of the military and i think if you play the game right u can 'get urz' out of the system...and despite how we're treated or our motives i love the fact that when we're presenting ourselves on the news we present a message of humanitarianism and promote liberty...whether or not we deliver this i can't tell you...i'm not on the field and i see everything from the same venues as you...but the msg is undeniable (maybe combatted by our countries and other countries endowed with the option 2 be against the state (which as a journalism major i also appreciate) but undeniable)
