Terrell Owens apparently will be at Eagles camp after all.
A day after hinting that he would agree to a trade because of a contract dispute, Owens told the Philadelphia Inquirer he would report to training camp on Aug. 1 at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa.

The controversial wide receiver told the newspaper he remains unhappy with his seven-year, $49 million contract and that he wouldn't mind being traded.
"I'll be there," Owens told the Inquirer on Friday. "I mean, the bottom line is that I still believe I deserve a new contract. I still believe I deserve more than what they've given me. But I'm not stupid. I'm not about to miss training camp, get fined every day and give them even more reasons to keep from paying me.
"I'll be there but I won't be happy, I can tell you that much. Take from that whatever you want," he said.

What ya'll think about T.O. and his contract holdout. Do ya'll think he deserve a new contract, or should he just shut up and be happy? Personally I think that all football players, rather all sports athletes, should be content with the money they make. These dudes make millions and millions a year and what do they do? Complain. Please.
Seriously though, I think its really too early in the contract to demand a new one. I mean sure he had a nice season last year, but that was just one year. If he didn't like the contract he shoulda never signed the b!tch in the first place. Of course, he could always come to my Falcons if he want....
without Owens the Eagles wont make it out of the second round of the playoffs. McNabb will have to revert back to being a running QB because his options are limited. The eagles best option if they dont wanna pay him would be to trade him straight up to ATL for Peerless Price. that would put TO in the city he lives in, and put T.O. with Greg Knapp his old offensive coordinator from San Fran. and ATLs owner would most importantly pay T.O. what he's worth.

its not like they were blown out in the games that T.O. didnt play in... they can do it but **** has developed his passing skill since then(thanks to T.O...iite i give him some credit) ... one of the playoff games they lost i believe was because of a last minute interception- and i dont know if ud wanna put peerless price up there... they need a powerful possession receiver that can serve as a big target and an effective blocker in the event that **** needs to a)get the ball across the middle or for a short gain, or b) if he decides to scramble, he can get a good block. pinkston is a good route runner and can get a good release on the corner- so although he may not be as fast as peerless, he is a pretty decent deep threat if mcnabb wants 2 play action..
my opinion, they should stick to conservative football to control the clock and to catch the defense off guard with occasional ****- but thats jus wha i think

The Eagles made it PAST the second round for the past 4 years WITHOUT T.O. Even this year, dono didn't revert to being a running QB because he's simply not. He has the ability, but he doesn't like running because he will constantly get that stereotype. I believe if a QB can throw for 400 yards on a broken ankle with trash recievers and no +1000 yard running back, he should be able to earn the title of passin QB. It's just that he has more than one dimension, which makes him so dangerous. Now T.O. is a wide reciever. He did as good as he did because of Mcnabb and Mcnabb did improve from the addition of T.O. But people need to notice that T.O. benefited from Mcnabb more that Mcnabb from T.O. If I can recall, dono was the one delivering touchdowns while halfway out of bounds in mid-air. Dono was the one that had one of the longest plays ever which concluded with a 60 yard **** to some one w/o the initials t.o. T.O. is a great reciever, but he's not that good. If the raiders were willing to trade jerry porter to the eagles for T.O. jerry porter would as just as good or better target than T.O. Basically, WR's at that level are not as rare as they used to be. Some try to compare T.O. and randy moss, but moss is in a league of his own while T.O. is close to being shadowed by Andre Johnson and Anquan Boldin. BTW didn't mushin muhammed have a better year in 2004 than him?

this is true however everyone in the NFC has gotten a lot better. and TO was a top WR in the league a long time before playin wit McNabb, and McNabb was nothin but an overrated QB before playin with TO. so McNabb needs TO. Andre Johnson and Anquan Boldin are not in the same league as Owens, get the hell outta here with that. and Mushin had better numbers then TO, not a better season. do you forget TO broke his leg late in the season. and TO makes Defensive Coordinators have nightmares, nobody fears mushin, please.

I believe Mcnabb proved how overrated he was this year by being the top QB he is. Mcnabb still has been leadin this offense for years and, not doing a bad job, with terrible recievers. His former number 1 reciever was barely a number 3 last year on one of the worst offenses in the league. He was never overrated because the talent was always there. As you said about numbers compared to planning, defensive coordinators have always fears mcnabb, and no it's just become worst. I guarantee you that andre johnson will do better or at least the same as T.O. this year. Anquan Boldin is sharing w/ larry fitzgerald so he might not duplicate but he is gonna prove his value in this league which will be on T.O.'s level. Bottom line, the Eagles made it to 4 nfc champions without T.O. and won one of those without T.O. Mcnabb has led a pretty good O, in which there were no skill players going to the pro bowl, way before T.O. came. Let's say T.O. decided to sit out this season.
The eagles have a better running game than last year with correl buckhalter, a healthy L.J. smith, and a better recieving core than they had prior to T.O...Yea, the NFC IS alot better on paper, but after injuries and underchievers are ran through the Eagles will still be among the top. The patriots have proved over and over, nothing can beat depth and experience.

T.O. is living in his reality and not OURS. Dude want more than $49 Mil? I just wanna pay my loans off. But Arthur Blank has stated that he has no intentions of signing T.O. or making an offer to him. But I would like to see a trade between Peerless and T.O. because Peerless isn't creating much out here. But you can't fault him for that because Vick isn't throwing the ball much. But if we DID get T.O. that would very NICE!!! VERY

just look at McNabbs Completion % prior to TO and look at it with TO, thats not a coincidence. it improved because TO is that good, no other reason. Andre Johnson is just like a young Keyshawn Johnson, hes a big reciever with a lot of potential that will end up being a posession reciever, nothin more. and yes the eagles did make it to 4 NFC championships without TO, but they also had a great D, they got a good D now, but not a great D, an overrated Jevon Kearse, a couple of corners that had fluke seasons, i mean u really dont think that they are gonna duplicate that success do you. then you gotta take into account who has gotten better in the NFC. Carolina will be healthy this year, Minnesota will be a lot better this season, and Dallas will be better. then u gotta look at their schedule, they got Atl, Oak, GB, STL, SD, and DAL twice, these arent push over teams, all this means the Philly and Mcnabb are gonna need TO. the Eagles need TO a hell of a lot more then he needs them. all the Eagles have to do to appease TO is simple give him more money upfront. yea he signed for 49 mil but we all kno, nobody in the NFL ever sees all the money they sign for, its all tied up in bonuses and incentives. all they have to do is take some of that money throw to TO up front, it doesnt hurt them against the cap and TO will be satisfied.

I can't keep goin back and forth with 5 paragraphs, but I will say let's just wait until the season then continue this, because we probaly would reach 10 pages judgin how different are perceptions are on just about everything Nfl related......
I'll lay this down for you tho- T.O. will have his spot taken in at least 2 years and will never see another contract as big as the one he has. **** Mcnabb will be a hall of famer. The Eagles will continue to be an above average playoff team because they have the second best front office (behind the patriots) in the league. AND the remember this thing which is most important, the packers are a pushover team and will be until green bay kicks them out of their town after having played there since the beginning. Yea, I'm a Bears fan.
