seeking some advice Posted on 08-01-2005
dondutch

I'm attending Chicago State University this fall, i was interested in joining a fraternity. I started doing research and out all the fraternity's i researched i felt that i was most interested in Alpha Phi Alpha Inc. The intelligent and leadership mentality of alpha phi alpha inc. caught my attention the most. Becoming part of this legacy is very important to me. So I'm asking your advice on where i could find out more infomation about this fraternity and some of the steps i could start taking to pledge alpha phi alpha inc. tspriggs23@sbcglobal.net

Well good thing this board is called " Greek fam " and not " Masonic fam " lol...
You're right cuz if the shoe was on the other foot, you'd know exactly where I was coming from. After two or three years of reading the same questions you'd probably feel how I feel.

I prolly would but it would still be outta character for me to respond to aspirants the way you choose too regardless of how many times I have heard the same ridiculous questions. And its just for the simple fact that i am STILL in their shoes, and altho some of their threads are very stupid when things have been addressed a number of times in these threads, I can very much so empathize with where they are and where they are coming from. And thats sumthing I would always keep in the back of my mind if I ever became greek. Someone looked out for me, so Ima look out for someone else, and educate them. EVEN IN SPITE OF THE FACT that they didnt look thru all these threads before hand. I guess Im just more of a patient person in that sense. Maybe its being to nice, being too easy, whatever. Thats just how I am but oh well, it is what it is.

OK. I take any display of stupidity as an opening. Ignorance isn't granted a free pass, especially here with the same rehashed topics.
