Hey yall my name is Ebony Greene and I will be attending Howard University this fall as a biology major. I'm new to the site and I'm just now figuring out how all this works. If anybody can give me any information about Howard ( dorm rooms...etc.) I would greatly appreciate it. Thnx

First....we have a new members thread so threads like this will not take up space.
Second we have a forum called "highschool" members...which says "so ur going to an HBCU...well come here" written right under it
Third, paying attention to detail will help you a lot being as though these types of topics won't fly in this forum...

No...whats wrong with black people today is that we're too busy making excuses for ourselves and living in this fantasy world where we can blame everything on "the man" because we're too stupid or ignorant to take responsiblity to our own actions.
What I did for u was helpful. I pointed out the various other places where u could've placed ur "ad" for help and I also noted for you to have a good day. Is that whats wrong with black people today ? Helping others?

It seems as though as a people we fail to pay attention to detail. Not only details such a small as the ones u missed but details in our very own life. Too many times we expect people to hand ****too us. Put it right in front of our face for us to be like " Oh well my gosh thats what you ment".
Take responsiblity for yourself. With such a prestigous (s/p) university that ur attending do u not think that those type of black people u've mention or that I've mentioned will be there? Take a sip of the starbucks coffee and wake up if u don't
We don't take pride in the things we do. We don't take pride in the black people who can read. For I'm pretty sure its some out there who can't but wish they could.
So on THEIR behalf I suggest....strongly suggest that you pay attention to detail. For that...will get u far in life. Don't blame ur shortcoming on those who try to help or point out ur faults. Instead of bytching about it. Take steps forward to undo the mistake you've just made
