When you get "established", mainly speaking of when you get married, have kids, and are done with school, where would you prefer to live? Do you want to live in a majority black neighborhood, something mixed, or would you want to live where it's barely any blacks? Be real and speak your mind.
I would prefer to stay in either a diverse middle-class neighborhood or a predominantly black middle-class. I stay a predominantly white neighborhood and i dislike living here very much. I can't stand going outside with my brothers and see all the little white kids go back in the house. WTH??? Folk are so prejudice here. And some of the other black people are worse than the white people. We grew up and Detroit, so we are a little hood. Not ghetto, just hood. We are used to hooping in the streets and hanging out in front of OUR house. The black folk here look at us like we are crazy. :x I'd much rather have my children growing up in a neighborhood where they are able to make friends with the other kids in the neighborhood and be accepted.

It doesn't mater to me. I've been able to adjust to different situations. I moved from Philly, to the burbs surrounding it, so I think I'd be cool. As far as my children go, I might be concerned they'd have an identity problem if I was in a PWN. It's whtever though. I'm sure I could deal wit that.
I'd have to go with the upper middle class black neighborhood. Nice quiet, peaceful place on a hill, out in the county (or country), where I can see the city's skyline from my back porch deck.

well...now I live in a nice, quiet, and racially mixed upper middle-class neigborhood...we have black people, asians, and white folks...but the school I go to is like 98% black (2000 students) lol...so I guess it kinda balances out...
but there are these two neighborhoods that I live near called "Smoke Rise Farms" and "Doe Chase"...those houses average about $500,000-$1 million...me and my parents toured the neighborhhood and some of the estates last year...I've never seen houses like that up close...it's like something you'd see off of cribs...I'm talking about MANSIONS...and the neighborhood is like 90% black...that's where I hope to raise my family (or somewhere similar)...once I establish my medical practice
The neighborhood im in now is almost ALL black (maybe 2 white fam's in the whole area). It has it's ups and downs. It's just like any other middle class neighborhood...****happens. People get robbed, cars burglarized, and every now and then you'll hear gunshots on the next street over. It's got a ghetto feel to it, but it's home to me. It's definitely not the worse place in town.
We've been living here since 1986. I was almost two years old when we moved here. We used to live in the real ghetto before we moved here. This street used to be full of older white people, but they've all moved to the southside of town (more "upscale").
I live in Pikesville, Maryland which is a pred. Jewish area, on my block there are what i like to call the "uppity blacks" in the future i hope to live in an urban area somewhere in NY, Chi, or DC so i want to live in an area that is full of Black history just enriched in it.

i work out in pikesville MD and those Jews are PREDJUDICE...i was sitting outside waiting for my mom to pick me up and right next to my job its a Jewish store and everyone of them jews who walked in looked at me like they were disguisted or something

Of course, this place I speak of does not exist, so in the meantime, I go with #2.
