Morehouse and Spelman are definitely two of the best choirs around. I saw them this year at the Morehouse-Spelman Christmas concert. Tuskegee University Golden Voices are pretty good also.

The New Life Inspirational Gospel Choir of Atlanta is one of the tightest HBCU choirs around. We're not limited to one school, we have members from Morehouse College, Spelman College, Clark-Atlanta University, Morris Brown College, Interdenominational Theological Center, and even members from non HBCU's such as Georgia Tech, Georgia State University, and Emory University. If you haven't seen us yet, you're definitely missing out. We're not all about awards and putting on shows, we're about giving God the glory. We have traveled all over the country (from coast to coast) and performed with and opened for various award winning gospel artists including Yolanda Adams, Richard Smallwood, Hezekiah Walker and the Love Fellowship Crusade Choir, Sounds of Blackness, Michelle Williams (of Destiny's Child), the Canton Spirituals, Darius Brooks, and Bishop Clarence McClendon. intead? I dont understand why? The Morehouse Collge Glee CLubn brings in more money to the campus than ne other organization on campus. ALso the Morehouse College Glee CLub is known on an international level and performs multiple genres of music. Im not trying to get on u, so plz dont take offense. I just felt by saying instead u were disrespecting my organization. My plan was to do both like other members of the glee club.

New Life is about glorifying God through song. Don't worry about the people. In fact after a semester with New Life, ya'll probably would get a long just fine...

lol, this is crazy, folk always want to start some kind of competition between the Morehouse and Spelman Glee Clubs and the New Life Gospel Choir. There's no competition. In fact we have several members from that do both New Life and the glee clubs, and this has been the case for years. You can't really compare New Life and the Glee Club anyway. New Life is a "gospel" choir that is currently in its 20th year, that isn't supported financially by any of the schools (even though we have members from like 10 colleges and universities). The Glee Club is a "concert choir", that is over 90 years old, and has the financial support of one of the richest black schools in the world, Morehouse. Two totally different things each with their own positive attributes. I'll run down a couple for both: The Glee Club is internationally known. They bring tons of money in to Morehouse, not to mention tons of publicity and fame to a point. If you've ever been to a Glee Club concert, there's usually not an empty seat in the chapel. In fact if you asked the average person what they knew about Morehouse, they would probably say: 1) it's a black school 2) it's where MLK Jr. went 3) it has a great glee club The New Life Inspirational Gospel Choir is internationally known as well. We have fans in England, Trinidad, Spain, the Dominican Republic, Tanzania, just to name a few. We haven't physically been to these places, but we've touched the lives of people there from what were doing here, I know because I've been involved with the choir for 5 years. We're not financially supported by any of the schools, so that makes what we do even the greater. Another great thing about New Life is that we don't turn anyone away, there are no auditions, everyone that wants to join can join as long as they love God, it doesn't matter what school you go to. Finally New Life is an organization that changes lives all over, we don't do it to be popular, we don't do it for money, but be do it cause we love God. Oh yeah, a picture from the most recent New Life concert...
