u know how people stay sicing HOWARD? well when you actually get there, you'll see that it is not that tyte... the campus looks OK from the outside, but when you step inside some of those buildings, you'll be like, "what the hell?"....the administration is not the best either, students were telling me all their horror stories of the unnecessary BS they had to go through, some were even telling me not to got to Howard....even the lack of organization of the program i attended just tells me that everything is not all that tyte with Howard....besides that, i dont really have a problem with Howard, im just glad i got to experience some of it myself before applying, because i would be mad as hell if i found out that i missed out on other (better) opportunities just to go to Howard....but nevertheless, i am still applying because i still like the school, i just know now that it is definitely not the best....

Wow Adanna, my experince at Howard was complety different, but i will give you the fact that some of the buildings look busted, their was a wasps nest in my class room lol, but i mean i enjoyed my experince at Howard, i don't think i would be trying to go there if i didn't like it, because at first i really didn't think i'd even be applying to an HBCU, but i learned a lot about Howard and myself there so it was an experince that I value. I am still skeptical about going but then again, i'd be skeptical about going to any university they are all busted in one way or another

Hey I can totally feel you Adanna..my first choice use to be Howard also. However I have heard so many horror stories from people... it has twisted my opinion of the school. I have to admit that I have not visited Howard yet... I will be visiting both Hampton and Howard this spring. By then I will know which one I got accepted to. I heard Hampton is right for me by so many people that its unbelieveable..lol..I guess that I am the only one who can judge that .. I guess we will see!!! Talk to you guys later Adios 1.Howard/Hampton? 2. Ohio State 3. Case

Good luck with all your choices! I don't know what you want to major in, but the valedictorian of 2005 from my school went to Auburn University on a full scholarship for aeronautical engineering. They have a very good engineering program!

Has anyone ever noticed that as many "horror stories" as there have been Howard still boasts the highest population among HBCU's? A college is more than it's administration and it's externalities.
