it's still biting
Well... one could argue that fraternities were around long before 1906... so are we as African Americans biting of them seeing they started this fraternity thing in the modern sense?

Oh, I didn't even notice that dude with the Alpha jacket on. I'm writing nationals. Let's use my corrected feelings. I don't have a problem with white people stepping. I have a problem with a white fraternity stepping. If a white person wishes to stroll, then they need to get their **** in the cut. It can be sucessfully argued that our bands mimicked their show style marching from U of Michigan, or USC. The party-train (stroll, walk, hop) is something that is/was FUBU. Since most of them don't do what we have to do to achieve membership in our organizations, they shouldn't receive the benefits either. But then again, I'm against high school frats and sororities as well. Go Fig!

Why would anybody disregard the integrity of their letters by wearing non-Nationally recognized colors? Your will never see the letters on my chest being anything other than royal blue, white, and a touch of gold. Those colors hold a special meaning as do every other greeks' colors. It is odd that ol' boy is boldly rockin that blue shirt; however their colors are purple and red, and they look as if most of them are wearing purple letters.

Yeah... i had actually wrote something similar earlier and edited it cus i wanted to see what her answer was gonna be (plus i wasn't sure if that color was purple or blue...). Anway, I know some people in various orgs like to wear their greek letters in colors outside of what they should be like their school colors, camoflauge, etc... ... and they all need to be put back in the cut. It pisses me off to the infinite when i see people in my org rocking anything that isn't Red, Black, and Gold especially knowing that there is a specific symbolic significance for each one and why, and where it comes from (which is pretty profound might I add) and they do get charged. Soul, have you bumped into frat who do the same within your org. One of my best friends from back home who is KKPsi told me about some of his encounters and how it took all of his power within not to get at dude sideways (i personally haven't met any but i've heard stories). What got me is that dude was just random as all get out in the pic. Shyeeeeeet... he would got kicked out the pic with the quickness and depending on who else was there, his shirt taken along with some other things.

I personally don't see a big problem with the White Fraternities "party dancing". Also there may be some white fraternities that are MADE so if they were to have Pledged.... how would YOU know. Just like there are BGLO's (chapters) that don't have a process and they still stroll , party hop and everything else does it mean that they shouldn't be allowed because there process was not as hard. And if you feel that Strolling is a big deal then whats the purpose of you joining your org. in the first place? It seems to me that this is only a very small segment of the big picture. As long as they are not walking around wearing your letters, doing your call, and doing your strolls then I FEEL that they should be allowed to do whatever they want to do. this was not intended to offend anybody in any way... I was just stating my opinion.... NO I am not greek and if I was then maybe I would look at things alot differently.... but until then this is how I feel.

white frats and sororities don't step or stroll a good amount don't even know what that is and the fact this token blackie alpha (who by the way makes alphas look like poop) taught these white boys is just wack IMO white people generally have no rythm anyway so what's the point? to try and look "cool" and act like those blackies?

Why do you all keep ignoring the facts? A frat/soro is like the military...with really pussified duties and lax rule. EVERYTHING is jacked from the USMC. Precedence....REDUX!
