what the heck were the judges thinking? Twitchell knew they weren't supposed and if I were a trendsetter i would be pretty upset if basically the whole campus was saying we sucked and they didn't know how we won!!!!!!!!
and what happened to the time limit? is that not a factor anymore?
How are the girls for the step team chosen do you have to try out or sign up or what and about how many girls are on each team?
Plus I heard the knockouts outfits were cute what did they wear?
Step teams have tryouts, but you have to keep your ears open because most have tryouts and practices before the official time to do so. Which makes sense because the quality of some of the shows definitely couldn't be reached with just two weeks to pick members and practice. The teams are fairly large, I would guess any where from 10-20 people. Um, personally I didn't like Kelseys outfits but I enjoyed the theme. They dressed like the little people at the beginning of the Wizard of Oz, and their whole them was centered around the Wizard of Oz...something about KKO Land or bringing the trophy to KKO Land. I can't remember.

They teach you a step or two and then you tryout. I'm guessing they judge you on 1) how quickly you master the material 2) Accuracy 3) and overall presentation. Sort of like cheerleading tryouts with a different twist
Now, I'm a VCQT and sure I was upset that my dorm team lost but I got over it in about a week.WATCH the freakin' video. It is there plain as day. Twitchell won! Precious get over it. I don't know what you have against Twitchell but get over it. I stayed in Twitchell during pre-college and I have much love for the Trensetters. The Step Show has it's rivalries but come on this happened in March and it is July about the be August. Let it go. I did after about a week. Twitchell won! And another thing, I do not see the men of Harkness, Pierce, and James upset of about this thing FOUR months later and debating it on hbcu-central.
All in all, the step teams did the damn thing. Congrats to all of you!! Ya'll put on an awesome SHOW.
let get a few things straight precious......
1. first off, u cannot do a poll and not list all the female dorms who were involved in the stepshow....get u ****str8
2. the stepshow was in march of freshman year...why in the HELL are u still on it????
3. since this is obviously between VC and Twitchell let's focus on them for a bit
~it's easy for u to uplift VC's show and downplay twitchell's because u obviously lived in VC....HOWEVER if you are gonna make a whole dam page about this then u need to at least have the courtesy not to be biased.
~i will admit that VC did good but OBVIOUSLY not good enough to win....i understand that they worked hard but who didnt?
~yes i stayed in twitchell but i will not overlook their flaws because i stayed there...UNLIKE YOU
~there were a couple of times where twitchell messed up...yes but the entire show kept u interested
~i personally did not witness someone off beat when watching VC step...however, they did not keep me interested for the entire show
4. this is just my opinion but OBVIOUSLY they were also the judges opinions as well. hopefully after reading this you can leave old things in the past and just.....GET THE HELL OVER IT!!!! YOU LOST SO TAKE IT LIKE A WOMAN
^^^^^I agree with you, but from reading some of her other posts, I believe she stayed in Kelsey. It doesn't really matter now....we are going to be sophmores. We should be gald we had the opportunity to experience a freshman step show, especially since there might not be one next year. Reppin the freshman dorm and continuing to argue about the step show is really getting old. Although I stayed in Kelsey, unfortunately, I realize that I won't be staying there this year  But like the song says: "wherever I lay my hat is my home." So, wherever I stay I'll call my own.
LOL, because we raised hell this year (mini-riots, probates, all that good stuff). Plus there were rumors of hazing. It was a fun show though, but as you can tell from this board people take that stuff to heart and some just take it too far.
