Alcoholic drink mixes, recipes, etc. etc. Posted on 01-18-2006

What are some of your favorite concoctions, and how do you make them? I know there are several websites with recipes, but I have never tried to make any of them. I have been to a few people's houses where they had certain drinks, usually mixed with some kinda punch or juice, that was sweet n didn't have that strong alcohol taste that I hate. If I come up with any, I'll drop em later.

K, well, I just got done w/ a bartending course...soOo, imma just spit out some stuff they taught us in class. I haven't tried most of these yet...but I plan to once I get back to the shore..a drink a day.. 1) Alabama slammer - sloe gin, southern comfort, amaretto and O.J. You can add Kamikaze ingredients (vodka, triple **** & lime juice) and you've made a Red Devil...or you can just have a kamikaze shot. 2) Get some tequila, orange juice and a little bit of grenadine (the stuff they put in shirley temples)..and you just made a Tequila Sunrise. Or try some amaretto, orange juice, a lil club soda (Boccie Ball). 3) You can mix any of your basic liquors (whiskey, gin, scotch, vodka, etc.) with some sour mix and a lil bit of club soda...and you got a Collins drink. 4) You can mix alotta stuff w/ kahlua & cream (amaretto and/or vodka, amaretto & orange juice and/or vodka)..or just kahlua & cream by itself. But you gotta shake em w/ ice, before you drink it... ...and I guess that's about it. I wasn't trying to give you stuff that was too pricey or too strong. And all those need ice when you make or serve it.

25% AbsoluT, 25% Seagrams Vodka (yes, they make Vodka too), 50% red Kool-Aid.....If done correctly, you STILL wont taste much of the alcohol. And it does you right! I like substituting Alize with the Seagrams Vodka if I gotta drive anywhere.

My jump off is Southern Comfort. I drink that straight. Put some ice in it and your good to go.

I just tried somethin this weekend that was kinda ****. 40% - 99 Berries 40% - Bacardi Zombie 20% - Cherry 7-Up I might have to give it a name or somethin, but everybody who tasted it said it was ****. It isn't very strong, but it goes down easy as hell and tastes good. The alcohol % ends up bein somethin like 25% or somethin, so generally it seems like that will have u cool if you aren't aimin to get wasted and get ya stomach pumped.

Does anybody know what Hunch Punch is, and how you make it?
I don't know about everyone else but my friends make hunch punch with everclear and hawaiian punch. They also cut up some fruit and let it soak in the drink.
