stuff!!! Hampton was on point...they sent my stuff early, I called them(they called me back), told me my application file was complete, and I just got my acceptance letter. Howard.....hmmm....I know this girl who sent her stuff in Sept. why hasn't she heard from them YET?? I called them and they told me to call back in a week because they haven't gotten some of my stuff.....THE PRESSURE!!!!!

I think they are both picky to a certain extent... I suppose it just depends on the number of applicants they get each year along with the averge SAT scores of every applicant... It also depends on what type of atmosphere you prefer... City life or the Burbs... Both Colleges have their advantages and disadvantages but when it comes down to the end they are both Wonderful schools...
^^^I agree all the way. They both graduate top scholars into various fields and it really just depends on the atmosphere you want because academics at both schools are excellent. Then again the well known and top HBCU's are Howard, Spelman, Howard and Morehouse but it depends on what program your looking at. Shoo both Howard and Hampton lost my application materials at some point soo neither are perfect in the admissions dept!
Ok...... i talked to the people at Howard..they said that they have everything EXCEPT my 2 recommendations. My counselor and teacher sent those off before I sent the rest of my things off........they also said that they might have it, it's just in another file and they haven't matched it with my application.......I was about to tell them to go find it then!!!! but I kept cool........

*sigh* why DIDN'T you tell them to get up and find it? You've got to be really aggressive when it comes to HBCUs...if you just sit there and say "oh...ok" then they WON'T do anything about it...lol trust me...Tuskegee had my file in the database since NOVEMBER and they didn't look at it until I called and got on their ****...to make a long story short, I got accepted 3 days later WITH a scholarship ****...don't get ghetto with it though...I highly advise you to call them again next week and MAKE SURE they completely looked at your file and that your decision is in the mail...you're not paying them all of that cash for them to be disrespectful and lazy...based on my experience with Howard, they are very disorganized and slow...
