In general, how do you feel about pre-nuptial agreements? Do you feel they are necessary in our society, and do you plan to get one when you are married? Aside from the money and property involved, do you feel they are negative because it shows a lack of trust or faith in a marriage? On the other hand, do you feel a woman deserves to take half of a man's earnings during the marriage?
Personally, I am for them in all cases when both the man and woman are working. I feel that the fact that a woman is supposed to get half of a man's earnings was only in place because of the fact that in the (distant) past, many women were housewives and were entitled to half of everything because they never had to work during their marriage, and I figure they "deserved" half of everything. But in 2006, I actually think the law for marriage should be modified to where there is no need for pre-nups, and that a woman should NEVER get half. I just don't see the point of it because woman are now given the same opportunities as males in most cases, and even though they still aren't paid as much as men (which I don't agree with), I don't feel they need half of the money in a divorce, especially if the divorce was caused by something they may have caused.
That is mad one-sided. I mean if the man makes more he gives half but if she does, she keeps all? How much sense does that make? Thats pretty much a double standard. And what if the man takes the kids and she makes more, is he s.o.l?
I KNOW I WILL HAVE A GOOD MARRIAGE SO I WOULDNT BUT IF THE MARRIAGE WAS SHAKY MAYBE ITS LIKE IT REALLY DOESNT MATTER TO ME CUZ I KNOW WITH OR WITHOUT MY HUSBAND WILL BE WEALTHY AND PROSPEROUS BUT I WONT MARRY BASED ON HIS ACCOUNT.
IM MARRY BASED ON HiS MIND AND HIS HEART THATS JUST ME.
