Please see this film sometime over the next three days. The opening weekend box office numbers are very important to a film's success. http://www.akeelahandthebee.com/splash.html Thanks.

Two things: Black parents suck for not taking their children. C-H-I-L-D-R-E-N. Children. The movie only took in 6.8 million. In my theater, at the matinee, it was about 75% filled with mainly white families, single black women and older couples. Much better reviewed than Stick It or RV and it had star power, yet people ignored it. The movie was EXCELLENT. E-X-C-E-L-L-E-N-T. It was funny, heartwarming, exciting, and intelligently written. Ten thumbs way up!

I definitely agree! I couldn't go see it last week but I was determined to see it this weekend! I see Keke palmer going very far in her career...she's just too cute not too. Lawrence Fisbourne and Angela Basset were phenomenal as usual and the story....it wasn't just some one layer thin plot...it really had depth and was incredibly well written. I enjoyed it a lot and more people should definitely make an effort to go see it. We MUST support our Black Actors and actresses...not to mention directors. If we don't then who will?
