According to the people there, what would be some stereotypes, good and bad about the men and women at your HBCU? I just want to compare and see how much different our schools really are. They can be 99% true stereotypes, or those that are perceived but not really that true. But just let us know what you always hear people around your campus and at other campuses say.
For FAMU.....
Men:
-Take at least five years to graduate (hmm....can't say it's that far off)
-Think they are "players" according to many women (some of em do of course)
-Are thugs, think they are thugs, or have a lot of **** tendencies to be in college (can be very true, especially with freshmen)
-The Greek men are seen as being the "best on campus" or elite (according to many females)
-Greeks, and sometimes dance troupes and modeling troupes get more play than the athletes (usually true)
-Most dudes with extremely nice (or hooked up) cars are either "dope boys" or spoiled kids (hmm....pretty accurate)
-Most dudes around campus and at clubs are VERY "thirsty" or aggressive in their approach with women (very accurate)
Women:
-Freshmen girls are usually flips/freaks/loose/easy (hmm....somewhat accurate, at least to an extent)
-The best ones to "wife up" usually are the ones you never see at the club or doin too much on campus (can be true in some cases but not always)
-Are a lot more into social status than economic...meaning they'd rather date a Greek dude than one who has a lotta money (very true)
Both:
-Always complain about financial aid bein late, even when it's not the school's fault (very true)
-Always talkin down on FAMU and don't have too much pride......unless you go to FSU or another HBCU, then it's a whole different story (VEEEEEEEEEERY true)

The thing about being categorized is that other people decide what particular group you belong to. And they do this based on the people that you associate with and many times your looks play a part as well. I suggest that you keep negative people away and do NOT believe every sob story that will fly your way. Losers will do anything to get in your pants...Just don't wait till it has already happened to realize it.

-Everybody's rich. That's definately not true. A lot girls wish they were rich and do everything to look like they are, but anybody who knows anything knows its all a lie.
- We don't like the girls at Clark. That's not necessarily true. There is anymosity between all the AUC schools. But I'll be completely honest, I think the girls at Clark are more outward about their dislike of Spelman girls than we are about them. Most of the time we don't think much of them period. But this is mostly a freshman issue.

Ummm...That is true for some but not for others. Just like I notice many guys act like they get along but what I witness on a daily basis proves that not to be the case. Want an example? Just watch your local news.
As far as the AUC beef...I attended both MBC and CAU, where I graduated, and I can tell you that each school looks down on each other. It's not everyone but the first week of freshman year, your head is filled with soooo much crap about the others schools that its not even funny. The sad part is that people actually take on the mindset of being "better" all because they attend a certain school.

-Attend class wearing a face-full of make-up, 4 inch stilettos and $200 jeans
-think that Howard boys are too immature
-materialistic and interested in older wealthy men
Guys
-Aloof and think they're to good to chase any girls here
-alot are DL and Metro
-try to talk to girls at school in the area like Georgetown and American
-too power-driven
-too into trying to be thugs
