Okay, went to ATLANTAAA for the weekend. . .
Actually it was a last minute decision because I had quit planning on going, then I got a text message that said "pack yo bags" and this was at 9 at night and we were scheduled to leave at 4 that morning. . .
lol, long story short, i packed my bags and went with my best friend and her parents. . .
Anyways
Her plans was to visit Spelman for the first time, which I had already did this past summer so I was just going to soak in more information. . .
So did first thing we did when we got off the interstate (besides eat) was went to SPELMANNNNN...and guess what?! It was fridayyy, and you know what that means "market friday". . .haha
The tour was really cool, once again, the girl was really cool and nice and she just took us which was one family, meaning we got to get really close to her. . .
I think I liked this tour better because school was actually in session, so we got to see all of the students on their way to classes and what not and everybody was extra friendly. . .
Girls walking to class with just anything on, I mean short SHORTTTT skirts and shorts, cheeks justa hangin' out...lawdhammercy. . .
lol, but me and my buddy decided we wanted to stay for market friday because all of the vendors was out and the music was playing and it was really just poppin'.
Needless to say the Morehouse Brothers came over and we got to see the DELTAAAS , and the skeeweers (aka's), zetas, kappas, q's, and just all of them strolling. . .it was really fun and made me do nothing but want to be there even more!
Of course being from Tennessee we went to the Atlanta Classic game(FAMU vs TN State) and we went to the parade which showcased both bands and a lot of Atlanta High School bands. . .
ummm, TN lost the game . . .
we chilled on Peachtree. . .
ummm, the underground. . .
I love Atlanta. . .
Needless to say after this essay, the AUC is "where its at"

i want to. my mama said the meeting helped her feel better bout SC cuz she was NOT for it. now she's thinking bout taking me to ADIYL, but who knows.

She said last year, girls had to WAIT A LONNNNG time, because their stuff got scattered. Ya know how it says give your teacher the envelope so they can send it? She says you CAN do that, but it makes it harder. Instead, ask the teachers/counselors if they can give YOU the rec's back so you can mail them together with the sig. page, and the fee waiver, and any other stuff. THEY TRUST THAT YOU WON'T CHANGE THE TEACHER'S WORDS AROUND. lol
and you can send up to 5 other rec's if you think you need em. :o
Wait, you mean to tell me that SPELMAN COLLEGE allows the student to get their whole application package together (transcript, rec, and all) without contacting a counselor?. . .
hmmm, it's good that they trust the student like that. . .
