Post what HBCU you are going to and holla at some people and maybe you can find a room-mate for when you start your freshman year at the HBCU you are going to attend...
Nothing beats knowing people before you hit campus... This is the perfect place to do it... :wink:
It would coo to know people when we get to school. What we should do is try and ALL meet when we go to school, kind of like an HBCU-central meeting. :wink: But I will be going to Howard...so yell at me.

In regards to knowing your roommate, I would actually prefer having a roommate that I do not know, when I think about going to college the thought of meeting knew people comes into play, and I am just hoping that I am paired up with someone that I can get along well with, I wouldn't mind meeting them like on this site or anything, I just don't want to know them from around the way, or high school
I will like to know who i room with. Your roommate is someone you have to live with. The key words was live with. When people are dorming together it is important to know a person, if you and your roommate are completely opposite that makes things tough.
It would be nice to know your roommate but if you didn't it could help you in the long run. You will already know somebody new and be able to meet some other people through your roommate.
Yo to be honest I would really want to know who my roomate is before I get to school. Due to the fact that we would know if we connected with eachother and plus it would not make you feel like a outkast.
I would want to know who Im rooming with before I go to school so we can plan who is bringing what to avoid all the misunderstanding and make the load a lil lighter for both. I plan on attending Morgan State, and thats like 14 hrs. from home and it would be nice to have that reassurance of knowing someone before hand.

I would like to know my roommate before, but I have a friend that is also going to apply to TENNESSEE STATE UNIVERSITY so if she gets in then hopefully we'll be roommates 8)
