I used to believe this also. I've found that the more mature a woman is, the more sophisticated she'll be in choosing someone to be with.
Meaning that she will find someone who she fits with, regardless of his style. Immature women (and men) chase after people with a popular image. The more mature ones find someone with a good heart and mind, and accept them for who they are.
I know a lot of people who would be considered "true" thugs, as well as those who try to play the part. Ironically enough, the real thugs don't enjoy that lifestyle at all, and would probably leave it if they had the opportunity. For them, it is either for his own survival, or the only way of life he may know. It's the wannabe thugs that tend to be the ones acting a fool, starting fights, getting locked up over stupid stuff, and disrespecting anyone and everyone to prove their point.
It used to upset me when I saw "good women" chasing after the **** types. It doesn't anymore, because if they're not genuinely interested in me, then we're wasting each other's time anyways. One thing I've learned the hard way... is that the way to not get women is to act like someone you're not.
