...they really needed it?
This is a true story that happend to me...
I was driving my mothers car to the store and I got caught in a bad thunderstorm. I didnt have an umbrella and it was POURING down raining outside. My mom keeps a Delta Sigma Theta umbrella in her car. (clearly Im not a Delta because I am a male).
Anyway, I said fukk it and I took the umbrella with me inside the store. Personally I didnt think it was a big deal...but hey, thats just me.
Would you let someone real close to you wear/use your nalia if they really needed it? Like if you have on your frat jacket and your girlfriend gets cold, would you let her wear it to keep warm?
Or if a friend needs to go out in the rain but doesnt have an umbrella would you let them use yours even though it clearly has letters on it and they are not a member of that organization?
I'm saying yo... lol. Dang... can't use a pen. She shouldn't have even mentioned it.
Maybe its the Aquarius in me... but i think i tend to think outside the box. Maybe its just common sense. I don't know... but thats pretty extreme.
I mean there are instances where I've had soem issues with people wearing nalia when they not supposed to.
I know I was chilling at a park with some bruhs one day and one Neo was playing football and set his medallion down. This girl (who's a neo and should no better) got too comfortable and put it on. So i had to fire on her but mainly the Neo for being careless.
Letting somebody use something thats functional when they really need it is one thing. I'm not gonna watch somebody get wet or be cold, especially if I'm striving to be a man of a the highest type. I feel it would conflict with the core teachings of what my organization tries to convey and the man I'm trying to be. Thats just me tho.
HOWEVER(!), ish like the latter story gets me hype and is inexcusable. Granted you aren't gonna learn my secrets through osmosis but there's no reason for you to be wearing certain things especially if they ain't functional. You didn't earn that right. If you ain't frat, i'm not rolling on certain things.
I guess and issue like this is a thin line that is based on personal preference.
I would however, like to know the reasoning as to why people would do things like in sistagyrls story. I'm not saying its wrong... do you, but seeing where having a discussion here I'd like to know the other half lol.
I did talk with the same friend today about this issue and she said that she had been taught that you never let someone who was not a part of your sorority "hold your letters" because they are sacred and only another soror would know the meaning of the letters and therefore possess the right to 'hold them.' That's not verbatim, but my interpretation of her view. That's why she would never let another person other then her soror touch anything that had her letters on it because in doing so would be disgracing their meaning. (Again not verbatim).
I can see where your friend was coming from sistagyrl...I mean when us Greeks were online, we had to work for countless weeks, days, and hours to earn the right to wear our letters, do our strolls, our calls, and sit on our plots and/or benches... I can understand that letting a GDI "hold the letters" is considered a "no-no" but there is a great difference between pass me my keys, that just happen to be on a XYZ key chain and Letting a GDI Wear My Line jacket or My XYZ Shirt when we go out...
But I mean if That XYZ Umbrella is so important to you, then you can either buy a 2nd non Greek umbrella...or stop buying EVERYTHING with your letters on it...just my opinion...lol
^ You ain't never lie... I feel you lol.
Thats another topic (thats probably already in this forum). Toooooo much nalia. There are people out there who would buy toenail clippers if they had the letters on it.

Because she lets her letters make HER instead of her making the LETTERS. (I dont know if that made sense, but some folks will understand it)
It's a pen...what is she going to do when it runs out of ink? Nothing but throw it away.
