I have had the same boyfriend for a year and a half. Before I went to college we lived like 30 minutes apart. That was ok because we both had cars, so seeing each other was not the issue. However, after I went off to Howard and he stayed in Cali, things started getting hard. The trust issue was the main factor of a lot of arguments. I found myself being interested in other men and being tempted. I think long distance relationships are hard to maintain, but not impossible. It takes a lot of work.

Awwww...long distance love! My ex and I were together off and on for almost 3 years. We met my senior yr in high school and his freshman year in college. He's at A&T and I went to Hampton...then the drama began. He claimed I chose HU over him, but we maintained. Actually we were best when we were in school b/c it seems like we always broke up right before summer when we'd be closer to each other....hmmmm!!! Nope, long distance doesn't work :? ...but I still love him!
I love u #80! Always and forever!!!

JUST SAY NO!
If I can offer any kind of insight from my own past experiences, the whole LD thing does not work. Yes, in the beginning you'll both try to make it work, talking as much as possible, but then life will get in the way. You'll become busy and so will he, and after a few months talking on the phone without any form of physical affection will wear thin and interest will wane for either one or both people. Unless you can see one another often, after a while it just won't feel worth it, no matter how much you care for the person. And don't let somebody nice and fine come along......... then,
IT'S A WRAP.
