*nods* The role of the Black Woman is the same as the role of any living and breathing Human living on this earth. To help better our way of living by spreading Truth, Knowledge and Wisdom, Procreate and...just live. Im not sure that there is a set role for anyone in society (especially here in America where we all have a chance to go Hard or go Home) and Women can make just as big (or bigger) of an impact as men. That holds no bound to race either.
As far as at home, I believe that women and men should take the same amount of responsibility in cooking, cleaning and pleasure. I believe in dual income houses where both parents work, come home tired and do whatever the hell they want. Its the privelege of working, and if she (or he, in sometimes rare cases) doesnt work then they will have to pull their weight by keeping the house clean. They dont always have to clean, but damn DO SOMETHIN. (like i said, these rules know no bounds)

Wrong....At least in my case.My dad did most of the house work including doing the girls hair if mom was at work or really busy.No one had any specfic house duties except us kids.

Shoot even my dad know how to hook up a pnoytail. Most of my male friends know how to do plaits and put a girls hair in a ponytail i mean how hard is that. That's like saying women can't chop wood or something. (I don't know that's the 1st thing I thought of). But I'll be damned if I can't chop some wood.

I think any one's role in the society is the one that makes them happy.
If you feel like being in the kitchen cooking and cleaning for your family then do it. If you want to runa business then do it.
