^^^^ well umm they did say to talk about leadership roles youve played a part in and stuff along that line u have to understand howard is looking for the leaders of tommorow so just talk about stuff that make u look good like the accomplishments youve done in h.s also remember as someone told me dont make it boring make it appeal to them in a way where they actually get to have a feel for who you are (at least the good aspects) dont make it boring like an autobiography

Did HU send you an app? If so, then is the essay q on there to talk about leadership, not a topic of our choice? I just saw the online app and the download app and they both say a topic of choice.
I'm just asking so I don't waste my time writing about the wrong subject.
Yeah its a topic of your choice their sending my application....when i asked the person i was talking to he said what i just told u there is no right or wrong subject to write about but there is inappropriate and appropriate subjects and i think we all have common sense about that but what i said with the leadership and along that line he told me its a good start for the paper and if i can make it solid it would be great but NOT AN AUTOBIOGRAPHY. So to answer your question you dont have to write about one specific subject because as they said a TOPIC OF YOUR CHOICE but that was a reccomendation i recieved

sound like my mom she doesn't really care for howard or temple because of the surrounding area but at the end of the day its my choice not hers
