gee. i would be hurt if my school didn't have honors or ap. i've taken all honors classes since 7th grade & last year I had 3 ap and this year I have 3. My unweighted gpa is 3.62 and my weighted is a 4.13. The weighted kinda **** because the ap scale is a 6.0, the honors scale is 5.0, and regular ed is 4.0. since mine was mixed, it should be HIGHER! BUT QUESTION...I read that Early Decision means that if you get accepted, you HAVE to withdraw all other applications and attend your early decision school. If you apply ED and don't attend that school, it messes up your scholarship chances and your record because no one trusts you...I mean, you said you were gonna go to a school and then you don't go. What I wanna know is if I apply ED to spelman and get accepted, but i don't have enough funds, can I go somewhere else? Will it mess me up?

I keep going back and forth with Spelman .. I visited and loved it but I'm worried about getting in and then paying for it. I'm still applying, I already wrote the essay and everything ... If anyone is wondering here are my stats: 3.1 overall GPA [ yeah I know ] 26 on the ACT 1 AP class, 2 Completed College Courses [ got A's in both ] I'm in two dedicated clubs, one for community service and education .. the other for Spanish. I really don't know/think I'm going to get in but I WISH ! Good luck to all ! edit: Forgot to mention, I also know a Spelman alumni [ one of my Spanish teachers ] who agreed to write me a recommendation letter.

Do NOT apply as an early decision applicant...unless you are like 100000000 % sure that your going to that college

You are just like me. You don;t apply early DECISION which is binding. you apply early ACTION which os not binding but you will still know earlier

it was easy for me. ive pretty much finished the application. however i might go baq and add more extracurricular activities and stuff. after that all thats left is paying and sending transcripts ans sat scores.

Yeah I finished my essay too however I'm going to ask a few people to read it for me and make some changes. Am I the only one who is really antsy/stressed ! I'm so scared of being rejected.
