Curse words...Do you believe? Posted on 10-06-2003
Mikchek

The words themselves are not bad it's just the context in which people have used them in over the years that has made them bad.

I dont see why God would care about this, again my 2 cents
Think about what you just said... EPHESIANS 5 5:6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. This is all the evidence we need.Everything we may want to know about the laws of sin can be found in a bible.Pick one up or visit an online bible.

I don't believe curse words are a sin, but I do believe one who calls themself saved or a Christian should refrain from using words that are deragatory or hurtful.
As for as the cursing, the Bible states let not evil communication proceed out of the mouth. Cursing is evil communication.

Which is true. Sometimes you can control the things you say and sometimes you can't. Therefore, when one sins that must ask for forgiveness.

Who made cursing evil communication? I think telling some a lie, or that you hate them is evil communication. How does the word **** become evil?

Wait wait, one always have controls over what they do. Failure to realize that is failure to realize what it means to be in God's image, free will, and complete control over ourselves and our actions is our gift.

This discussion is so trivial...it's subject to interpretation...if you are truly saved and you truly love GOD, you wouldn't want to curse period. I understand that you may use them occassionally, but curse words shouldn't become a part of your daily vocabulary.

I'm agreeing with ATLgreeneyedAKA...I'm just saying cursing is a sin IN MY OPINION, because evil and rotten speech are sins! That is the way I interput those passages out of the Bible, I could be wrong, but its my opinion! What Rosa Parks gotta do with cursing? Yeah she a sinner like everyone else...she aint perfect! And who said a** was a curse word? I said it is referred to as a donkey in the Bible Dictionary.

I TOTALLY AGREE! IF they do become a part of your daily vocab, you need to pray on it and work on cutting it out!
