My chapter (Bowie/Mitchellville (MD) Alumni) is hosting this year's Metropolitan Area Founder's Day. The Event will be held on January 21, 2006 at Martin's Crossroads in Greenbelt Maryland (7400 Greenway Center Drive Greenbelt, MD - 301-474-8500). The host hotel is the Holiday Inn which is across the walkway from Martin's Crosswinds. The program will begin at 6:00PM. Our featured guest and keynote speaker will be Grand Polemarch Samuel C. Hamilton. We will also feature past Grand Polemarch Howard L. Tutman Jr. as well as Eastern Province Polemarch Rufus F. Clanzy. (This will be a non Conclave year so Brother Hamilton will be doing a lot of traveling to secure his position at the next Conclave. We were told that this may be the last time he will be in the area for a while, and for Brothers to hear him in this type of venue.) Tickets are on sale for $65.00 but are going FAST. This event WILL sell out. This is the first year various Founder’s Day activities have been planned together to avoid conflict. Philly area Founder’s Day is Jan. 7, VA Metro Founders day is Jan 14, and the Metro area Jan 21. The menu is turning out wonderfully, the annual souvenir is hot, and the Kappa dignitaries will be in abundance. If interested you must get tickets ASAP. At last count BMAC had 15 left, and we sold 5 at the meeting last night. The After party is by invite only. Brothers can use their tickets to get in, but ladies need an invite. The invites are for Ladies only. The after party is from 9:00PM – 2:00AM. This will be an event that is not to be missed.
