im bored...what do you think are some black conspiracies out there...the ones not admitted but ya know something is up..mine are
1--black history month being in february.... the shortest month of the year
2--the georgia state flag being a confederate flag for years to represent our state's "pride, honor and heritage"
3--why it is so hard to find tupac and biggie's , martin luther king's murderers but we can find sadamn hussein in a freaking hole in the ground in a short amount of time
4--why so many black men are in jail over stealing a cupcake :?
Ok, the thing about Denzel and Halle....(this was mentioned before too) CHILL THE FUKK OUT! It was a movie, he got the award because he showed his versatility, as well as Halle did. And I KNOW Jada ain't talkin' about nobody and their shady ways. this coming from the same guy who raps mostly about how he used to deal and how he will **** somebody in a minute if they act up. "Only time we bust in the air is new years eve" What is that?? Anyways, was white folk complaining when Kevin Spacey got an oscar for playing a pedifile?? No. why, cause it showed his versatility. Just be glad that we got two in one night....and focus on the future. Now if the next time a black man/woman gets an oscar for the same role.....THEN we should be upset.
Did you actually see Monsterbowl (or whatever it's called)? That goes down in my book as the dumbest film ever made. I really wasted my time watching it. Ignoring the fact that the plot was horrible and went next to nowhere, it didn't seem to take much acting skill.....especially considering Halle's career.
Besides, it's the principle that counts. I admit that "Training Day" showed more of Denzel's versatility. But he has made so many deep and meaningful movies, to give him an Oscar for such a typical role that could have been played by anyone is a joke. Why should we wait for more of our prominent Black actors to receive Oscars for movies were they play typical and degrading roles......why not nip this in the bud? It's bad enough that most of the black faces I see on TV and films are either street thugs, gansters, or * enter more stereotypes here *....why continue down this road?
