what music fraternity/sorority groups are you talking about? the only music fraternity/sorority groups I know of are KKPsi, TBS, SAI, and PMASinfonia. If you are talking about sections, remember they are NOT substitutes from frats and sorors. I don't know about anybody else, but bandmembers dont "cross". Thats crabbing. Crabbing is hazing and nobody does that. Collegiate bands are non-hazing organizations.
That's not true  No offense to any Morehouse Band kats on here  but I've seen hazing to band members at Football games... especially the drum section
Dang homie u missed the whole entire point... it was so you DON'T put people's business on blast... SMH... ANYWAY... Big ups to KKPsi and Tau Beta Sigma on this board... to the Lovely Ladies of Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity for Women INC... and a big **** ALL HAIL!!! to my fellow Sinfonians out there... whats good?

That is not true. As long as you are in the band you always get love whether you are in a music fraternity/sorority or not. Now sections are totally different. People who don't join the section family get very little respect at some schools.

 So youre not hazed when you cross a section?!?!? What band are you in? I was asked a guy why he had been in the band for three years and never crossed his section..He simply said that he refuse to let someone beat his behind and they cant even play their own instrument.
But you gotta think about it like this.... How the hell did he know he was going to be hit??? He really doesnt know....it also really depends on which band you are in. And crossing your section really has nothing to do with playing your instrument.... its a lot deeper than that. Not everyone is a great musician...doesnt mean they arent a good asset to the band!!!
This is SO TRUE! Every section and every band has a different ritual. I crossed over in my section last Friday and what happened to me was different than what happened to other people in other sections. And crossing over in your section is much more deep than playing ur instrument. TRUST and BELIEVE.

I feel you but It was no big secret about what was gonna go down on that night.Even outsiders know...
NOT TRUE> You're not even suppose to discuss what happened when you crossed. But some people did. But I can guarentee that NO ONE in the band knows what the process was for my section.

The only reason outsiders know is due to GDI's/Band Groupies/Section Rejects. Those are the only type of folks I know who like to put folks on blast and I see a few in this post........ Some folks missed the ENTIRE point of my first post in this topic.

Well I'll just say this. The ones that DON'T do it end up feeling like they're being treated differently... When in fact I think they're being treated the same (I hope this is the case at other schools), and just being treated differently than all the ones that DID do it. SINFONIA! to my bruh that called a few posts back. Baloo #3 Fall 97 Legion of Bones #9 Fall 01 Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia
