Point blank - what helps you escape...from everything? For me, it's writing (mainly poetry) and (hip-hop & r&b) music....

When I am feeling stressed, a massage usually does the trick. My baby will massage me from head to toe with baby **** and play some slow music... This really helps after a hard day on the bball court *sigh

One of my friends has a house outside of Lynchburg, VA. Those of you that know VA know that there's NOTHING outside of Lynchburg. That's the most relaxing place in the world. There's four wheelers and go-karts. We bring alcohol. I actually got to sleep with the girl of my dreams the last time we went up there. I swear that house is magical...
Lemme add alcohol and slow jams to that...

Im here in huntsville alabama, ya dig? We have mountains surrounding the southside & eastsides of the city. I drive up there, go to the little scenic park, cut my cell phone off, and just leave this world for a while. I can go there & cry to myself, and nobody has to know. I can go up there & rejoice out loud, and nobody has to know. I've had many conversations with God on that mountain, because to me, that mountain is the closet place to heaven on earth that you can get. When I leave that mountaintop, I feel like a brand new person.

I'll sometimes write a poem, listen to music, but not any music. When I'm stressed and need to escape I usually listen to Erykah Badu, India.Arie, Angie Stone, or some gospel. If the music doesn't work, I'll pull out one of those old tapes of shows or movies I used to watch when I was little...I watch Lion King when I'm stressed (don't laugh)...that makes me relax alot. Its like going back in time and having no worries.
