Look I just completed my first year in college.... but if there is one thing that really gets my blood on fire is when I hear young ladies say "I’m going to be this, I’m going to be that... and what do you think I should 'pledge'. You should never ask a question like that OR say certain things like that; it can be very disrespectful for those who have work HARD to earn the letters of their organization. If you are interested in a Greek organization that is on the National Pan-Hellenic Council you should read and research Afro-American Greek organizations as a whole, then the specific one that you’re interested in. Get the book The Divine Nine: The History of African American Fraternities and Sororities AND read it if you're truly interested. And ask yourself why to do want to be apart of a Greek organization... You have to realize that being Greek is SO much more then the parties, colors, calls, step shows, and its not about what that particular sorority can do for you, is about what can you as an individual bring to them so that they can accomplish their goals as an organization. Don't waste your time OR any Greek organization's time by trying to be apart of them for the wrong reasons because the people in them hold them very dear to their hearts.
