I wash it an put it in a hair wrap.... I used to get relaxers like every two months cause my hair is so unmanegable...but now I do it like every four.... I tried to go natural...but that didn't work out too well... I keep my hair covered up in the summer cause the sun (especially in the south) fries my hair and turns in this orangy-blonde color...

I used to be able to just wash my hair, let it curl up, and go. But recently for some reason (too many relaxers) whenever I wash my hair, it dries up stringy with some parts curly. It's really long, but what's the point of all this damn hair if it ain't looking right? Next Wednesday (or maybe even Saturday), I'm going Halle Berry/Nia Long... that way I can cut off all the damaged hair and let my hair grow back healthy. And hey, if I don't like it--- I ain't scurred of the weave or the braids.

Girl, every two weeks go to the hairdresser and get a roller wrap and then the next weeks go get some flexirods. I did that all year long and my hair grew, but if your hair broke off then braids will help that because I've been there before. My hair was short it did not pass by ears now my hair is down my back. Sometimes hair pills will help too.

To keep your hair from breaking off keep it well oiled and wrap your hair , also avoid too many ponytails. Since I'm going away for school I'm going to order the perm my beautician uses on my hair from her and bring it down to my school. And make sure to keep your ends clipped every 6 weeks.

Weave shall be your friend! Tracks work well if you know what u are doing when u take em out. If u don't comb tha glue out correctly you'll be bald but if u take ya time and have somebody else do it (cuz you'll get frustrated) you're hair well actually get longer and thicker. It worked for me! Another style is sewn in. You can get cha whole head done and it'll stay up for about 3months or you can get yours how i currently have mine. I keep it braided n cute designs n the front and it's juss straight n the back. Every 2weeks i wash & rebraid the front. micros done by Africans are the best but taking them out is a big pain, u will be missing a few edges, and if u have straight negro hair like mine....u will b lookin at a mini fro. it's nuttin nice. Micros are the lowest maintenance option and are the all around best option in my opinion. After u have micros for those 1st few months you woulda had time to locate a good beautician to hook u up!

Well, I'd suggest that if you can go natural, do so. And be careful of the amount of heat you put in it. I've never had a relaxer before, but for a long time, my hair was only past my shoulders. That's because I was using a pressing comb like every other day and damaging it. So I stopped using the comb, and opted for a ceramic flat iron (on the lowest effective temperature setting possible). I only flat iron my hair now after a wash (unless it gets messed up somehow, and I can't take how it looks). And I wrap it every night. I also **** it regularly, towel dry if I'm not in a hurry, and avoid ponytails as much as possible. My hair is now at the bottom of my back, so I guess something's working.
