To all the memebers of aka sorority at NC A&T i was wondering if you all were on the yard and able to have a "line" in the near future...i heard from some friends that you all were not on the yard and i heard from some that you were. I want to know whats up? I look foward to hearing from yall.
In my opinion...anyone who "pledges" these days is "paper." I went to college in the 80s. Pledging does not exist in any Pan-Hell org anymore and if you let someone in any org put you through a "pledging process" mostly known as straight up hazing these days, you are the fool. You are also participating in something that may get your chapter suspended and you may never become part of that organization. It's not how you get in...it's what you do when you get there.
"...WHEREAS hazing is antithetical to this commitment and is strictly prohibited by the constitution, policies and procedures of each NPHC organization; WHEREAS "pledging" has been officially abolished as a process for membership and pledge "lines" have similarly been abolished; and all members and prospective members are prohibited from engaging in hazing, pledge or pre-pledge "lines"; and
WHEREAS in 1990 the NPHC organizations issued a joint statement announcing the elimination of pledging and each has instituted within its respective organization a revised membership development and intake process;..."

^^^^ to answer the ? above, well it all depends. no, i dont respect lines that are that big because for one, they do not pledge and for two, there is no sisterhood at all. how can u have siterhood with 100 gurls. so those 100 gurls are howard are probably all, if not most, paper so they dont take on any pain, they just sign for their letters. i understand its not about the pain and its about workin for your organization and that is tru but when someone is paper and they have went thru nothing u have went thru, u will understand what im sayin. then i hate to see it when greeks prance around like they earned their letters when they have done nothing for them. i feel sorry for paper becuase they will get no respect from their fellow sorors or frat brothers because they are paper ad when they ee the number 80 on their back, they will know it. but 135 gurls, thats a damn shame. no sisterhood at all. people act like it's a race to recruit the most gurls and alot of gurls think its cool to go with the organization that has the prettiest colors or the cutest brothers or the most people and they forget the real reasons that they should join.
Um, not bitter. truth be told, sometimes, i just go in post and say anything just to make the day go by faster at school or just cuz im bored at home. im not bitter tho, im one of the most cheerful ppl u will ever meet. lol.
