You know what, if you can utilize your space properly you can bring just about your whole room. I dam near had to cuz I was comin from all the way across the doggone world but I know how to make due with the space I have. Not that I'm selfish or anything but I like having and using my own stuff so my own TV, stereo, etc was a must for me. It's just really about how you set your room up and use your space.

Just remember that all this stuff has to be packed up and taken back I was up till 5 in the morning helping my friend pack his stuff to move out :? He's lucky he's my peoples. For as long as you are going to be there you are going to accumulate things too...and those little odds and ends might seem like nothing when u get them but its a pain to pack up somethings can be shared with your roomate...tv..stereo..fridge. Definetly get in contact with them. now last year, my sophomore year, I had 2 other roomates so the room was a nice size...we each had our own mini fridge(u might be able to rent a microfridge from the school) and we shared a TV stereo and microwave, fans. But then again, they were my peoples freshman year so we got along pretty well to begin with ...rooming with the same people this semsester...but i think im bringing my own tv dammit.. i need to watch my simpsons :x

Hell...that's about all u really need to know... I know at JSU they got pretty descent sized rooms and a good factor is that instead of havin dressers...they have them split in half and stashed under tha bed so there's actually more storage space in tha room
Thats only in the female rooms Nique cause in the male dorms we had armiore's (sp?). And I am glad that fridges and microwaves come with the room....

Please pack smart. Sure you're going to be thinkin "this place will be my home, so i will need EVERYTHING"...no u don't! DO NOT take your entire room with u, becuz that will be HELL on move out day. Well...it was for me. Only take clothes/electronics that u KNOW u will use on a regular basis. Everytime i looked up, my mom was shippin more & more stuff, and that crap just piles up on u. As a freshman and being new to the game, it's sooo easy to over pack. Keep it simple, and that'll make things alot easier for ya

i suggest that u need to have ur own stuff and ur roomate need to have his/her own stuff. what if yall stop talking (mostly females) u cant watch her t.v cause she's trippin. hell no. i'm taking all my shyt. but my room is pretty spacious so i can do that. but me and my roomate grew up together so we talk everyday bout what we gonna bring. and because we have known each other so long we might end up "falling out" by the end of the semester so thats why i'm bring my stuff
