When Do You Take A Line? Posted on 07-17-2004

I was just wondering when does everyone else take their lines and it is ALWAYS at the same time .. Like last fall our Zetas took a line but they didnt take one in the spring which is unusual because they usually take both .. The Sigmas took a fall line but this year they are taking a Spring line .. Deltas have always taken a Spring line .. AKAs didnt have a line .. The Sigmas probated for about 1 hour and 15 minutes .. Deltas 2 hours .. Zetas 30 minutes .. What about your campus?

^^Dang, she even had the times...lol. Anyways, XU has a "Neophyte Show" the last Saturday in October every fall. You get your tickets, go to tha Barn and watch everyone come out ...none of that free stuff at XU..lol. Typically everyone has a line yearly unless they are off the yard for one reason or another.
Im mad u gotta pay!!! I would be mad if I was someone's parent
****, yeah XU is all about makin some money, any way they can. And naw, it doesn't take away from the discretion. Yeah, you know that the greeks are finna have a line cross, but you don't know WHO is gonna be on that line so it's still a fun occasion. People just want to see who is coming out and to see a good show, besides, since our campus is so small, marching to a plot would take all of 5 minutes, maybe 10 depending on where they started from, and administrators wouldn't go for that because they would end up interrupting class or the nuns in the convent...lol.

Why would the Omegas start an event at anytime :08? They were founded in 1911 as well as the Kappas. So the 10:11 would be for either the Kappas or Omegas

Usually some teachers just cancel class on the day of probates because its gets so loud outside. Expecially since the Alphas probate in front of Douglass Hall...people be hanging out the windows and everything. And people do more than just march to their plot....they march to different places on the yard, chant and stuff.

Yeah, I feel what you're saying, but like I said, they don't go for that junk at XU. Don't get me wrong, I was able to see some Omegas come out on Howard's campus (not this past school year, but the April before that) and it was nice and all, but that wouldn't work at Xavier because administrators wouldn't let it. Shoot, they made us stop having "patio shows" on our terrace on top of the university center because the people in the neighborhood said the music was too loud.

That is a major problem in the AUC...you can never see a probate unless your standing on top of a chair, trash can..someone else! I've always said probates should be held in the football stadium so everyone could see!
